HD is on its way out the door. That started with the V-Rod and the recent DEI crap only accelerated their demise. That their customer base is ageing out isn't helping them.

What they need is a new product. I have an idea for one, but I don't work for HD and I'm not going to give it away for free.

I agree, and for reasons more than just those. Indian Larry didn't use any Harley parts in his chopper builds because, as he said, they're not "heavy duty" enough. But there are plenty of them out there, and if they go bust, it won't have much effect on the custom market, methinks.

The consumers of today aren't interested in "soul" or "history." There's also no room for yet another superbike.

That's electric and only flies for 30 minutes. Weight capacity is 180 lbs max for that flight time.

OTOH, adding a gas engine and a mechanical drivetrain, with helicopter flight controls...
