Insurance companies are not big pharma or medical companies. They need to innovate.

Focusing on basic Healthcare is provided by 1st world nations, except this one. Guess we are still not great or in the gilded age.
too many people think that free healthcare is a right. and it isn't

Healthcare isn’t free anywhere, but the per capita cost is 50% less in all of the other developed nations than in the US.

Full coverage and much lower cost … no wonder the MAGA sheep hate it.

Yea Obamacare did literally the opposite of everything it claimed......just like everything that comes from the left.

democrats have zero clue about costs and what it takes to operate an enterprise hence so many of them think that healthcare should be free

We Democrats do not think health care should be free. We do think it should be more effective and less expensive, like it is in countries that benefit from socialized medicine.

Only the poor benefit, the productive people from those countries?? They come to the USA to get the good shit....because socialized medicine sucks ass.

Also if that's true how come not a single one of your cities or states has demonstrated any ability to do this??

How come you guys never actually do the things you say you want for the rest of us??? If it's so good for me, why won't you do it to you??

AI Overview

European healthcare is often considered better than the U.S. system in terms of outcomes like life expectancy, infant mortality, and equity, as most European countries have universal coverage and focus on preventive care, leading to lower overall costs per person. However, the U.S. system may offer faster access to certain specialized treatments, while European systems can have longer wait times for non-emergency care.

Health outcomes and equity
  • Better outcomes:
Many European countries have better health outcomes, including higher life expectancy and lower infant mortality rates compared to the U.S.

  • Universal coverage:
Most European countries provide universal healthcare to all citizens, while a significant number of Americans remain uninsured.

  • Equity:
Universal coverage helps reduce health disparities, especially for those with lower incomes, who are more likely to receive timely care for chronic conditions compared to their U.S. counterparts.
Access and wait times
  • U.S. advantage:
The U.S. system can have quicker access to specialized care, but the overall system is fragmented.

  • European advantage:
European systems, with a strong focus on primary and preventive care, ensure all citizens can access basic healthcare, though wait times for non-urgent specialist appointments can be longer.
Cost
  • Lower per capita spending:
European nations spend significantly less per person on healthcare than the U.S., which has the highest healthcare spending per capita among comparable countries.
  • Administrative efficiency:
The high cost of U.S. healthcare is driven by factors like administrative complexity and for-profit motives, while European systems are generally more cost-efficient.

Administrative efficiency: cut the red tape
Lower per capita vs other counties - America is fat with far too many people on welfare (via bad decisions, and lazy)

no disrespect, but you can't compare usa to other countries. here in the usa we have nearly 50% of America sucking down entitlements. Illegals are killing our hospitals

Exactly.....lefties consider it better because of equity of outcomes. Not the quality of results.

Which is why all the people there who can afford the good stuff? Come here. They go to the Mayo Clinic and other S-Tier HC facilities...not the equity/DEI hospitals in their socialist shit hole nation that can't even police itself because it's so broken by their "free shit for everyone but the citizens payiing for it!!!" programs .

Equity is only a consern of the losers.....for everyone who isn't failling at life "equity" is BAD, it means we're getting FUCKED.

AMEN!

For those of us who are not lazy and EARN > $200,000, well, we have the best healthcare system!
Yes, I know, but Americans who earn more than $200,000 a year represent a small minority of Americans. The vast majority of us are neither lazy nor affluent. Many of those earning more than $200,000 a year earn it from interest, rent, and dividends, and do little work.

I do not advocate equity in everything. I do advocate it in necessities like health care.

The reason health care costs so much more in the United States than in countries with socialized medicine is that money which in the United States goes to insurance companies goes instead to hospitals, and health care professionals.

Trump's lower end supporters do not know that they are voting against their economic interests.

Socialized medicine means that my neighbor and I are paying less for health care and getting better results.
equitable =/= better.

That's the leftist lie, and you can tell yourself that lie all you want all the way to your DMV style public hospital ......

I'm taking my bourgeoi ass to the fuckin' Mayo Clinic. :ROFLMAO:
