US healthcare ranks last

The USA is such a wealthy nation (though less wealthy by the minute as your President dumps billions into the Persian Gulf to increase petrol prices and make you even poorer) so why is your healthcare so miserable? Corporate greed? Bureaucratic inefficiency? Restrictions on the number of doctors to keep their wages higher? Dreadful public health (an anti-vax crank in charge of HHS!?!?!).

Oh, right, cue the knee-jerk blaming of immigrants! Ever wonder why Luigi Mangione killed a "healthcare" company CEO instead of some someone like Usha Vance or Melania Trump who used your doctors and hospitals despite being an immigrant?

All of the other developed nations figured out the cost-controlling benefits of universal healthcare systems long ago, but the AMA (doctors) and medical corporations in the US successfully fought against it here.

Now the system/mess is designed at every point to maximize the amount of money it extracts from patients. Providing care is just an a nuisance that the system/mess minimizes between extractions of cash.

And they don't even GET anything out of the status quo that they would not under a single-payer system. Only the INSURANCE COMPANIES do.
