$8.49 for 24ct Costco organic eggs.

Asshats in the Biden admin had 100 million chickens killed in fear of bird flu, including smaller healthier flocks in back yards. That nonsense is apparently over. Huge poultry operations will always have a vulnerability to mass dieoff. They will eventually disappear, and that will be another hard kick up in poultry prices, but prices are more stable now.
Dmallord thought copying the name of a great fictional character would make people think he was intelligent and capable of rationalization.

That's a better price at $0.35 than my local at about $0.51. I don't do bulk purchasing as a 'family' of two, Buddy and I. [Buddy is my spaniel.]

I take it you don't believe in an ounce of prevention approach?

Trump didn't either, until after he was hospitalized with Covid-19. Even then, on the White House balcony, he brushed it off, saying it would go away in the spring when the weather got warmer. So, let's see some results about that approach shall we? I'm not talking chickens:

Coronavirus Cases: 111,820,082 ; Deaths: 1,219,487 ; Recovered: 109,814,428.

https://www.npr.org/2020/04/21/837348551/timeline-what-trump-has-said-and-done-about-the-coronavirus

Trump’s words on a campaign trail speech in North Carolina, “Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus. … One of my people came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia.’ That didn’t work out too well. They couldn’t do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything, they tried it over and over. … And this is their new hoax.”

Trump’s words with Bob Woodward, “I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.”

Trump’s words about masking, “It’s going to be, really, a voluntary thing. You can do it. You don’t have to do it. I’m choosing not to do it, but some people may want to do it, and that’s OK. It may be good. Probably will. They’re making a recommendation. It’s only a recommendation.

Trump had the best advice from experts and ignored it, came down with the virus, got specialized treatment for it and still told the public it was not real.

So, I see you're okay with that too, I suppose? Was the virus for people real or was that also an asshat thing, too?

The chicken flu may be over or not. It's also now in cattle, so I guess it's not over. But at least Trump isn't downplaying the bird flu, is he?

'Favor que me hace,' as the Spanish expression goes: Thanks for the flattery.

Were you referring to the author and actor David McCallum's role on NCIS: 'Ducky?'

No, that's not how or why I chose my pseudonym. I chose Donald Mallord, with an 'o' not an 'a' because it is a close variant of my actual name. There is no mystery or attempt to make people believe what they want about me.

Snarkiness aside, I don't see what you pen in this forum as rational thoughts at times, either. :)

Your comment is off topic in this thread and has nothing to do with the price of eggs.
