Tariffs are a tax on American businesses and consumers. So the $2k checks are being repaid out of tax receipts.

Like I said, its a refund.

Whereas socialism is a tax used to enhance the government and spread the wealth UPWARD by making everyone equally poor (except the ruling class - they're still wealthy).

Tariffs are taxes paid on incoming goods and materials paid by the importer and some of those costs have been pushed down to the end user or consumer. US companies and citizens are paying the tariff taxes. Trump and company want to use the tariff tax to give money to consumers for supposed Healthcare. The amount in question exceeds the amount available given the fickle, whipsaw tariff rates. The admin also wants to help farmers with that pot of tariff taxes. There isn't enough to go around between the farmers and the $2k disbursements.

So you say. However, the refunds haven't been finalized yet as to how much or who gets.

Given how fucked up the Left's social engineering experiment escapade has ended up, I'm not trusting their/your math either.
