Over the past week or so we travelled to Canberra to visit family. Part of the journey took us along the edge of the Capertee Valley
which is about one hundred and thirty kms west of Sydney, as the crow flies. This valley is the second largest enclosed valley in the world. The Grand Canyon is narrower but a bit deeper. The photos shown here are showing only about half the valley......facing east. It extends quite a lot further to the north.

Beautiful in nature, stunning looks and shots... vanessa is amazing. The location is beautiful as well. What a location for shooting Vanessa, au natural in nature.

This bridge is part of the Northern Railway Line which ran from Sydney to Wallangarra on the Queensland border. The line now ends at Armidale. The bridge above is between Glen Innes and Tenterfield.....and no longer in the best shape; it will in fact be demolished soon. Such a shame: the line from Armidale to Wallangarra passes through some of the most scenic country on the Tablelands and would make a fabulous tourist railway. Even if an enterprise undertook to create such an attraction, it would cost a fortune to bring the line back to standard. The line was originally built in the 1880's using no more than pick, shovel, horse drawn carts and a lot of sweat.
