How well known is this rhyme? Is it some obscure "only for hotties in England" rhyme that us poor American's wont know?

Well I have to get to bed, so those of you that are still battling look away! :D

Lucy Locket lost her pocket
Kitty Fisher found it
There was not a penny in it
But a ribbon round it

No one guessed so no treats tonight! ;)

Aww...

Origin

This was a well known and popular rhyme on both sides of the Atlantic by the middle of the 19th Century and was sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle Dandy.
Kitty Fisher was a famous 18th Century courtesan and aspiring actress, who was notorious as the mistress of several well known men of the day.
She was also a neighbour and friend of Dr Johnson.

I don't get the part with the 2 bitches

Hi all

The weather is mild but drizzly. I can't see the sea but I suspect it is probably wet there too ;)

Morning/evening

Heh S&S I noted a bit of self denigration on another thread (you comparing yourself with someone else)

LISTEN TO ME - you are a babe, you have a fantastic body, shoot great pics AND have a laugh as you go. If I was ....years younger (and single ...there is a big statement) I would be on the first flight to the UK to try and woo you with :rose: :rose: :rose: and   and dinners and walks on the beach etc

Have a great day (and I will try and not post too often and hog your thread and waste your time)

 from Oz

Well that is better than raining buckets which it is right now, same as it always is when ever it rains.

You sweetheart, you!

As an alternative, if you have the irresistable desire to send me a free ticket to Oz, that would make a very nice Christmas present ;)

The house is now on the market to cash me up.

What about a round the world ticket (for 2) Nepal, South America, India, Tasmania (great place in Oz), Africa, Pacific islands by yacht, the Antarctic on a boat for 2 months .... The list goes on........

Dreaming.........
Nothing like dreaming............
Must make it true.............
Dreaming of escaping with you...........

(bloody hell I'm going INSANE)

In Seine? France too? It's sounding fantastic!! :)

France would be great, love the wine and the food

maybe a slow tour through the French country side, staying at little hotels with restaurants rated by Michelin at ** or ***.

Lazy walks in the evening and then a quiet drink before retiring to our suite to doze the night away!
