I feel for you.... how's the old Surekill Expressway doing?.... I grew up about 11 miles SW of Philly..... and sure don't miss the heat and humidity (not to mention the cold)......

hmmmm... well at least the weather might be better (unless you are in a hurricaine region).... I was reading an article last night in "The Economist" about Florida.... it sounds like it is getting kinda bad down there.... traffic apparently is horrible (3,400 dead in accidents last year), lot's of crime, and housing prices have doubled since 2000. There were apparently 404,000 people who moved to Florida last year (highest increase in the union) and since 1950 over a 1,000 a day have moved in with only 250 a day moving out..... sounds like it might be getting crowded.... hope you can avoid it all....

i will be attending my first renaissance faire this weekend...in gig harbor. anyone else been to one of these?

i was also at the highlandgames in enumclaw last weekend, accompanied by three...count 'em, three..men in kilts! lol.

drinks for cool weather

Try this one - Oatmeal Cookie/ Hot Chocolate

1/3 oz Bailey's® Irish cream
1/3 oz butterscotch schnapps
1/3 oz cinnamon schnapps
6 oz hot chocolate
1 dash chocolate shavings
1/2 - 1 oz whipped cream

mix ingredients and top with whipped cream....

Or just a good mexican hot chocolate with a bit of Kalua and Gran Marnier

An old favorite - warm apple cider with a cinnamon stick, a few cloves and as much dark rum as you like...

Sounds yummy....but beings that I don't drink..I would have to just have the plain ol' hot chocolate...
