War of the supernaturals II (IC Thread)

"Mhmm," Ahnah growled, whipping her head back and forth. "Num. Bers." She huffed. She had no idea how to read. Speaking the words of Man was hard enough. To read their numbers and signs, but the names of streets, the names of things, yes. "Come come." She whirled, scooping up Amir once more and took off. The scenery was the same at first but it transitioned to nicer places and more activity. They kept to the back allies as much as possible.

"Here?" Ahnah said, dropping Amir back down to the ground near where he'd said to go.

Bahiya chuckled. "I never acquired a taste for coffee. In general, I find it promises more than it delivers." She smirked as she thought the second part of the comment "just like most men" but didn't voice it.

Bahiya watched Langston walk away before slipping off her shoes and reclining on the sofa against the wall. A 10-minute power nap should help with the jet lag and refresh her mind before getting to work. She did have most of an hour before any pertinent info would be sent to them.

"Blood manor. 163 Varick St, New York" A tall lanky fellow with sandy brown hair, huge goggles and a lab coat on said with an enthusiastic smile on. His name tag bore Morrison Middlecrook.

The look he got from the superior agent caused him to pause and stutter but did nothing to his unnecessary smiles.

"I m-mean the transgender woman. Melina may. I-i have tracked down her signatures sir. Using the same method we use to hunt down the mystics. Surprisingly our target is a vampire."

Morrison was extremely excited for having a chance to talk with the famous Langston. He was anticipating working with him on the field.

At HQ in Munich

Bahiya looked at her watch and decided to see if Langston had heard anything about the search. She also wanted a cup of tea, but if it had to be coffee, sobeit.

She walked in the open door of Langston's office. "Oh, Pardon me. I didn't know you were occupied." She said in her Austrian-accented German.

Amir looked around quickly. "Yes, exactly. You're wonderful." He exclaimed visibly resisting the urge to hug her. Not that he really thought for a moment it would upset Melea but he wasn't certain Ahnah wouldn't tear him in twine.

There was also the fact that he wasn't going to feel safe until he was back on the far side of the portal. "Okay just follow me."

With that he stepped through the portal trusting that Melea would be able to find her way the short distance from when he'd lost sight of her to the portal. And that was if she didn't always know the way. She was from New York wasn't she? Ugh. Either way the best plan was. . .

"Lynden, we might have had a problem." Amir said loudly as soon as he stepped across the threshold. "Lynden!" He shouted this time letting the fear creep up, usually the vampire responded immediately to his name. . .well unless he was with her.

Langston smiled and nodded at Morrison as he presented the information. "Yeah I assumed." The researcher had always had a nervous habit of starting conversations at odd points and going back to fill in the gaps as if you should have known what he was on about from the start. Generally Langston either pieced it together or let him have the tiem to fix it.

"Good work M&M," the man had never given a clear hint if he liked the nickname or not but it amused Langston.

"Oh, Pardon me. I didn't know you were occupied."
Bahiya said sticking her head into the office.

"M&-" LAngston visibly paused for a breath, "Morrison Middlecrook actually seems to know where our target is. And it's a vampire if you missed that part. He's just going now to arrange our travel on one of the jets. I imagine this is one of those times it would be best to head out quickly."

"Lynden, we might have had a problem." Amir said loudly as soon as he stepped across the threshold. He was careful to keep speaking calmly and to make certain that he kept his voice steady since Lynden was likely to have a lot of questions which he would answer but get Melea, might be a priority for the moment.

Ahnah loped through after Amir, pausing at the threshold of the portal. She lifted one clawed finger and poked the portal. A low growl rose in the back of her throat; her nostrils flared. She sucked in a mouthful of air, then crossed through.

She had a hard time following the speed with which the vampire spoke the language of Man. It was a blur to her. The best she could do was pick up the tone, which was a call for help. Her hackles rose and she lowered her body. Her pale, blue eyes scanned the room looking for any sign of threat. Then she prossessed the tone and sense of calmness her new packmate exuded. She was confused. Her head turned and her hackles fell back down.

"Kill? Hurt?"

"Well done, Mr. Middlecrook." Bahiya gifted the man a smile. She looked thoughtful a moment, "A vampire...that does put a different spin on things. I thought we'd be looking for a human. And yes, it looks like we'll be leaving as soon as possible. A good thing I never unpacked, I suppose."

Mediation might get her through the next 12 to 18 hours, but it looked like she would be existing on prescription amphetamines for the next few days. So much for seeing if Langston would be interested in sharing some downtime. It would wait until this was over.

"Where are we headed to next? The Riviera would be nice. Why don't evil cults ever do their nefarious deeds near the beach?" Yes, Bahiya did have a sense of humor.

((LOL, I keep reading and typing his name as Middlecock.))

'What the Fuck' Melea muttered. One minute she had been talking to Amir suggesting that he try to use his unique persuasiveness to get the Wolf/Dog/ woman to come out, the next she seemed to be invisible and sightless She could still hear Amir, could sense movement around her but not one thing could she see. She spoke to Amir, but it was as though she wasn't there. He never indicated that he heard her. The next she heard him say that they should get out of the building. Well wasn't this a fucking curve ball, she thought. She followed hoping that being outside would aid. Even though sighted her manoeuvring around objects was like she could see them, almost feel them. This had to be some kind of spell, and where was the most powerful witch when you needed her, certainly not within easy reach to help.

The manaion

Jeremy was in the middle of breaking through the last barricaded door. His fingers tapped quickly and rythmicaly as the virtual soldier on screen evaded a series of laser beams shots.
"Die you scrunny crab 'em pickled fuck." Jeremy cursed as he pummeled through.
Jeremy's twinkled-eye turned dark as the alarm rang. "Just two more minutes," he begged into the air. "2 damn minutes."
The incessant ringing from the alarm got into his head and the result was the Game over proudly displayed on the screen.

Inaudibly Jeremy grumbled from the basement and towards the door. He turned the knob and yanked it open.

"Amir? I lost my highest score because of you?" Jeremy asked, his face a perfect blend of anger and surprise.
He had thought the person to be Lyden, or even his wife. Melea would have been preferable... but Amir. "I lost my game because of you." He repeated again.

In his anger-muddled state, he hadn't noticed the strange creature behind Amir. A hairy skinned woman, ears like that of a wolf, smells like one too. Hips and ass so perfectly curved, two nice knockers on her chest and those eyes, innocent and inquisitive.
A strange beauty.
"Who's she?" He asked,

The Pack is under attack again!! To arms comrades, we are being invaded!!

Ahnan's growl was a low rumble. She bared her fangs. Her bluer-than-blue eyes dropped to slits, and she hovered over Amir like a rising wave about to either crash down or over. She still handed quite got the knack of veering into the flesh of Man as her King had bade her, so her body was closer to her War Form than what she'd wanted for her Man Form. She was seven feet tall, her paws were baseball mitts and riddled with dagger length claws. Her muzzle was filled with jagged teeth.

Still the arcane speech of Man eluded her, especially in these times when the Pack was threatened. There were so many outsiders always threatening the pack it was maddening. She had no idea why Amir would leave so close to so many who weren't of the Pack. Wolves never congregated, the left each other Pack alone. Why did Man need to pervert something that made so much sense?

This interloper smelled of stale sweat and cheese, Beast and Man. His posture was bent and crooked, not protectively like hers was, but perhaps due to injury. He didn't look threatening, but she knew of frogs that didn't look threatening and yet killed with a touch.

"Kill?" She asked her new Alpha, "Hurt?" Perhaps the voodoo had gotten him. The interloper smelled more of dog than spirit, but it was possible he called to the Loa and the Loa listened. If so, then her new Alpha was in dire need. It meant she needed to kill this interloper now. As this new idea found root in her brain, the new Man parts of her mind respectfully gave way to the Beast. After all, the Beast knew how to handle threats to the Pack way, way better. More muscle sprouted along her arms and chest. Her fur grew dense and rough like astroturf. She added another foot to her height. She'd always be more Beast than Man, so her War Form was more giant manwolf than hulking wolfman.

And she bellowed her challenge with the full force of the North Wind, a gusting riptide of air projected at 80 miles per hour with the crack of thunder. She spread her fingers wide and the claws swelled. She gathered the North Wind about herself and prepared to charge the interloper before he could ruin her new Alpha permanently.

"Where is he?" Amir forced himself to remain calm. He was doing his best not to shout but this kid had just complained about a video game when he was in the middle of running for his life and Melea?! When had she fallen behind and was she okay? "Goddamnit."

~Amir quickly and well calmly wasn't the proper adjective but accurately described the situation with much emphasis on the Men in Black.~

Jeremy was still stealing glances at the feminine creature behind Amir, watching the beat of her breast as she scanned the premises with those light blue orbs.
Then all of a sudden she began transforming, increasing in height, claws and muzzle. Jeremy was finding it hard concentrating on when Amir was saying.

"Amir, you might want to control your new friend behind you." Jeremy out of both fear and intimidation, reflexively began his own transformation. Claws protruding from hairy hands, ear increasing in size and large ivory daggers emerged in mouth. He now stood an impressive 8'4, hunched and ready for battle.
Kill?.....hurt???? he heard her ask Amir.
"Alright I'm sorry about earlier men, Just tell her to calm down. Restrain her or something." Jeremy pleaded on hearing the Primal animal roar.

Nigel

"Just New York." Nigel replied doing a moderately good job of concealing his exuberance. The reality was that not only being back in America but back in a real city was a treat and one they wouldn't deny him.

"Private plane this time, none of that commercial nonsense, any delays will be our own fault."

Bahiya, Langston & Middlecrook

"I am ready to leave now." Was Middlecrook coming with them? "Just have someone get my bag from my office. It would be nice to be in front of this thing instead of playing catchup."
