He looked at her and smiled softly.

"Look I get that you want nothing to do with your family for the most part, and I get it now. Why you were a bit hostile towards me when I first arrived."

Yeah, he was pretty sure in some way or another someone had literally set all of this up. They had chosen a mortal that MIGHT be able to sway her and orchestrated the betrayal and the sacking of the Temple making sure he was around when Zeus called for someone to return his daughter home. If he really thought about it. It was probably Aphrodite. She had her hooks in Ares anyways and she loves to manipulate people into love. Well so far she had gotten one half there,

"But living your life avoiding them and assuming everything is their doing is just living in fear and hardly a life. So want to go back to Egypt? Food isn't as good there, but I think I can manage."

 

[Asa]

I don't want to feel I am manipulating mortals. The other Gods do that enough even in Egypt.

She looked into his eyes.

Why would a mortal want a God or Goddess?

 

[Master_Kain]

"You are hung up on me being mortal, and you a goddess. What does either of those things matter? You are a woman and one that I have become enthralled with. I realize you can't say the same at least yet. "

Reaching up and cupping your cheek.

"I care not which god or goddess hears me right now. I fell for your looks at first, I feel for your heart as I saw you with Maku, and the people around Egypt. It was obvious to anyone looking you have cared for and about those people. Your kind nature drew me to you more than your looks ever could. You dove in against the Kraken to save the ship and the people on it. I have walked by your side, fought beside you, and I would do it from this day to my last if you will let me."

He realized you might never return his feelings but just being able to stay by your side, and travel with you would give him that chance, and maybe the time for you to see and open up with him yourself. Sure HE had a time limit but he was young and stubborn. He was in good health and short of something ending his life early he was bound to live for a good while.

 

[Asa]

Yes, you can continue to travel with us. I... I... I will think about your words.

She did not move from his embrace. She did not want to do so though she did not understand why.

This will take time I am used to my desert and my solitude.

 

[Master_Kain]

"It always takes time. I can deal with that."

He withheld himself. Holding you as he was he wanted to kiss you again but he knew better. That would try and force what isnt there yet

"Shall we get out of the water and dressed?"

God and goddesses a like knew he reaaly didnt want you covering up. He enjoyed the sight of your body.

"So how long you wish too stay? Before going back to the desert?"

 

[Asa]

I do not know. I can perhaps stay for a while but in time they will expect my presence too.

She sighed walking out of the water. She liked the idea that he wanted to stay and wondered if this was all part of some plan to get her those that worship and follow her here in Greece

 

[Master_Kain]

He walked beside you as you walked out of the water. He grabbed a cloth out of the traveling supplies. He walked over to you with the original intent of offering you the cloth to dry yourself but instead, he found himself walking up casually behind you and placing it on your shoulders, and gently starting to help dry your back, and arms at first. His hands massage your skin as he drys you off. He didn't ask for permission to do so figuring you would tell him to stop if you wanted him to. Eventually, his hands even brushed and caressed your breasts. His hands did not linger though as he dried you off and worked down to your waist.

"Easy to catch a cold up here in the mountains if you stay wet."

His hands rubbed the cloth over your small clothes and dried your ass as well as he could. Hands worked slowly down one leg and then the other but he never tried to dry your loins. Once he did finish he offered the cloth for you to finish drying your loins knowing how dangerous you could be he didn't want to get a reflex reaction and get smited.

 

[Asa]

She didn't stop him from helping her which prompted Maku to watch both of them for a moment puzzled.

Another reason to love the desert

She shrugged.

 

[Master_Kain]

yes the desert you could just air dry in as long as your skin was already bronzed and not pale so you would burn faster and worse.

"You are longing for the Desert, then lets go back. You dont have to stick around here."

He started to dry himself off. Taking his time and standing at the edge of the water before he began to slowly dress once more.

 

[Asa]

Getting her armor back on she looked around. The desert was home but this was a part of her lineage, looked it or not as well.

Perhaps I can explore the lands of father and the others. Among the mortals I wield no desire to go to Olympus.

 

[Master_Kain]

Any place in mind first. Can be hard to avoid the Gods and Goddess of the land even not going to Olympus they have Shrines and Temples everywhere.

He thinks for a bit about were to go. Athens but it is home to Athena's followers but would the Goddess of wisdom maybe not have insight.

No I have not... Not in a long time.

She looked around seeing Maku stalking something.

Dinner may soon be here.

Fairly certain my hide would not make a good meal even for you killer. Hades took off his helm and just as quickly appearing.

You can still track me invisible Maku... I suspect you cheat or perhaps are just that good. Niece.

Hades nodded to Felana.

Hello Hades

Maku has sensed the God somehow, how he had no clue. Maybe Maku was special in morecways than one or possibly Hades had a stench Maku couldnt miss.

"Hopefully Discord and everyone else have had their fun for a time and things can be quiet, or are you hear to tell us different already?"

It was becoming common place for different gods to stop and check on Felana or interfere with something she seems to be working on. Its no wonder she went to Egypt with the frequent family issues, but was it any better there? He had even met gods of Egypt as she prepared to return.

 

[Asa]

Felana nodded to him

What do you want Hades?

Zeus manipulations warrant your ire at all of us but know that I am merely here to thank you for returning that vermin to the bowels of the underworld where he belongs. Ares arrogant offspring wears thin on my nerves trying to acquire more minions stealing them at the point of near-death.

She nodded.

Very well Uncle you are welcome. We are going to travel to Athens. Is there anything else I should know about during this visit to Greece?

Hades shook his head. Beyond the usual Centaur temper with the more "Civilized" humans and various random Satyr parties, everything is as usual.

 

[Master_Kain]

He listened and nodded politely to Hades. He has been one of the few Polite ones in his opinion. That and he knew one day he would die and then be in Hades care. No matter how broke or desperate he has always keep two coins for his ride down the river to be judged.

"Thank you Hades."

He was glad to hear that things seemed normal no further manipulations but was it true, or was the manipulations just more subtle and hidden. Damn now he was thinking like Felana.

"Shall we be off then?"

 

[Asa]

Nodding to Hades she turned nodding also to him and began walking. Maku headbutted Hades leg and turned to walk with her.

 

[Master_Kain]

They started back down a different mountain path leading in the general direction of Athens from the mountain top spring they had visited. They could walk the whole way or they could stop and charter a boat from a local port to Athenas itself.

 

[Asa]

How should we get there? Caravan or on foot or what?

She knew that there were many ways to travel around here unline the desert where camel or walking was normal.

 

[Master_Kain]

The ship is the fastest way, but I don't mind walking or going by caravan if you wish to see more of the countryside. So it's really up to you. It's been a few years but I visited Athens a while back after my first real battle actually. They sent a few of thus young recruits to study with an old soldier there.

He walked beside you as he looked around. The scenery was changing slowly as we got down out of the mountains and more into the low lands and places people farmed.

 

[Asa]

She looked around.

Not sure Maku will want another noat before we go home.

Then sounds like we are walking. Solo or shall we find a caravan headed in that direction too. We dont really need the safety in numbers but the company might be nice

 

[Asa]

My siblings are less likely to show up if we are with other mortals.

Maku snorted as if agreeing with her.

He started heading towards the closest town. Knowing that at least a few caravans went through the area. It was not long before they made it to town. Though dusty from the road as they arrived.

"Nice little town but i know a few caravans stop here to trade and let their people relax too."

He waved at one guard as they crossed the city gates an old friend from previous visits

"How is the ale friend?"

"As watered down as ever! Rowan's crew is in so tavern might be rowdy."

He glanced at Felana

"I am sure you can take care of yourself miss but if any of them get hansy please call the guard. They just gey a little crazy when drinking"

 

[Asa]

She stifled a laugh since mortals didn't always recognize her at first. Especially since she didn't act like the others of her family.

I am sure there will be no trouble at all but thank you.

 

[Master_Kain]

They headed into town several people stopping as they see maku. For several its the first time seeing a lion. Children both curious and nervous gawking.

"You know he is eating up the attention."

Where maku was concerned the children has him in there eyes, though it was the adults who seemed to eye the both of us. Strangers were not uncommon and a few are aware who you are. Others stare cause of your beauty or dangerous appearance.

"Shall we get a room and food before approaching Rowan?"
