Warrior and the Goddess (closed)

Maku would be happy when the kids tried to walk near and seemed sad when some of the parents would stop them out of fear. One little girl pulling hard away from her mother and running at him. Maku seeing the tiny child laid down and rolled over hoping for belly rubs only to get "tackled" in a bug with an excited shrieked

KITTY

The mother looked to Felana who just nodded that it was fine. An old man sitting in a doorway told those present whom she was much to her veiled annoyance. The little girl could care less who she was she was too enthralled with playing with the massive feline. Maku was simply happy to lay there tongue hanging out as more children were allowed to run over as well.

We may not get him back.

Felana laughed.

Chuckling

"He would be well cared for with all those children to play with."

He continued down the street as Maku lived the high life with the children. It wasn't far until we found the small town's tavern where you could hear a ruckus from inside. It was obvious that Rowan's crew was already well into their cups hopefully more laughter than brawling this time.

"What sounds good to eat? I'm tired of the stuff we manage to catch or carry with us. Want something hot and fresh."

His glance back towards you could reveal his words had two meanings.

She walked into the tavern looking around brow raised studying those around them.

The tavern was busy several men around drinking a man playing music in the corner. Two women severing drinks and the drunks being a bit hansy grabbing or smacking the womens ass when they walk by. A few slurred out offers for company.

"Well i see they are already well into their cups. I see a table over in the corner."

Making a path for the two of us. One of the girls making her way towards us.

A snarl curled her lips watching what was happening but made her ay to the table till a drunk tried to grab at her only.to find his ass on the floor a sword at his throat and her eyes glowing of desert fires starting through to his quickly sobering soul.

What was that?

She snarled staring down at the man.

"Felana, remember what the guard said please."

He knew all too well you could and very well might correct this man's behavior, but it would cause a lot of trouble for the town possibly. He looked down at the drunk man quickly sobering up.

"How about an apology and keeping your hands to yourself unless you don't wish to have hands?"

He placed his hand on your sword hand to gently push it away from the man's throat. Trying to keep things calm and no blood shed, as violence was already on the table.

I have no problem ending problems.for the town.

Felana... Did I hear right... That fabled daughter of Zeus' whoring nature that Hera seems to like. To what do we owe some mythical honor of a fairytale visit.

A big man roared from a back table.

He reacted quickly as he moved through the crowd, leaping up onto a table and then bouncing from table to table as you held the other man down still. The way that the man spoke about you and too you had set him off. As he landed on the table in front of the big man his leg swung out and kicked him hard across the face

"You owe her nothing but an apology for your mouth."

He looked around and glared at the other people in the tavern. He might not be the most impressive man, certainly not as strong as Hercules, or maybe even you, he wasn't sure just how strong you were but he didn't want to find out first hand either. But he was a trained soldier and a skilled fighter. This was not something he was gonna let slide.

"Does anyone else have anything to say?"

The waitresses hurried the owner an old man from a back room.

Felana hold your blade for now. Who has spoken ill of MY guest and still expects to drink and eat here much less draw breath if I so choose to let her handle issue? Rowan... Is you tongue that eager to let you die?

He still stood on the table, looking down at the man. Seeing that it was indeed Rowan. No one he knew personally only knew the man by reputation of his crew which could be on the rough side of things and sometimes not always on the up and up.

He looked back that the tavern owner and nodded to him. Then back at Rowan.

"I'm waiting on that apology fat man."

He was simmering with rage his fists clenched ready to defend himself or strike again. Either might be needed.

That is the one the soldiers said causes trouble in the town.

Felana snarled just before hauling the other man to his feet and throwing him through the door. Turning she looked to Rowan then the old man and back to Rowan.

Old one want me to rid this town of it's vermin problem once and for all?

Rowan hadn't moved since he was kicked upside the head. I hopped down off the table and snatched him by his hair. He was out cold. I guess that will have to be apology enough. He glanced back at the old man and Felana.

"He is out cold. Didn't expect a single kick to knock him cold. Up to you old man. Call the guards or I am sure Felana would have no issues removing the pest permanently."

Several of his men around the tavern had stood up at the commotion but seemed either leary of jumping in or waiting for orders maybe. Which non would come from him. His jaw dropped open and held at a weird angle. My kick might have even broken his jaw which would require a skilled physician to set and repair.

The roar from Maku at the door added to her apparent command as the old man was not fully sure what to do.

How would you free the town of him?

The old man asked.

Desert justice. Let any who might want to replace him watch him die a slow death buried to his neck in the ground at the entrance to the village let the ants and other vermin feast.

Several cringed at her words bit some.of his men took a step back trying to avoid Maku as well.

He wasn't really opposed to the idea of letting this filth die that way, but being in town knowing there will be children and that they would want to, or even dare each other to go look, not to mention the stench of a dead body if placed close where others would see it coming to town.

"Maybe something a little quicker, or a punishment he will have to live out his life with."

"Id say cutting his foolish tongue out for starters, but I wasn't the one he was insulting."

Snarling she moved over to the unconscious man and tossing him from his chair.

No tongue no deals with my brother... Agreed.
