Washington Post Lays Off More Than 300 Journalists

Real journalists are needed on conservative news outlets, yes; but keep in mind that real journalists fact-check their sources, verify their information, and dont post false, misleading, or speculative (and often times, quickly debunked) ideas as facts.

In other words, having more real journalists on conservative news outlets will help dispel a lot of the garbage and misleading propaganda masquerading as "News" that gets pushed out on these outlets. Because many of the "journalists" on these outlets today are not real journalists. They are propagandists, with no obligation to report factual information.
Well said!!!!

Will Lewis was handpicked by Jeff Bezos to be designated hit man at the Washington Post.
He might be one of the few human beings alive with less of a moral compass than you.
He's neither "gracious" or "noble".
He's slimy......I don't say this lightly: "Slimier than you".
You have no idea who I am, nor any knowledge of my personal or professional record, which, incidentally, is unblemished. What you’re offering isn’t insight; it’s speculation driven by emotion. And despite the confidence, it remains thoroughly uninformed.

You gloat over the Post laying off 300 journalists. That alone makes you worthless.

Washington Post announces sweeping layoffs as it scales back news coverage

Danielle KayeBusiness reporter

The Washington Post has announced it is laying off one-third of its work force, sharply scaling back the paper's coverage of sports and foreign news.

The cuts, announced on Wednesday, will impact employees across departments with roles in the newsroom's sports, local and foreign sections hit particularly hard.

It marks the latest upheaval for the leading US newspaper, which is owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.

Executive editor Matt Murray said the cuts would bring "stability". But the announcement was met with condemnation from the paper's employees and some former leaders, one of whom described it as among the "darkest days in the history of" the storied newspaper.

This got more media coverage than the other 30K Amazon layoffs.

Gloating would imply I misunderstood what happened. I didn’t. Pointing out that a failing business finally closed its museum of outdated roles and unrecoverable costs isn’t cruelty, it’s literacy. If recognizing the difference between journalism and payroll bloat makes someone “worthless” in your worldview, that says far more about your grasp of economics than it does about my character. The above is you confusing empathy with denial, and accountability with malice.

Just saw a clip about the WaPo. Lots of wild-eyed effeminate men in skinny jeans with big leather purses leaving the building that Jeff Bezos bought to "save democracy." The problem is he's also a businessman. He spent a lot of money trying to be cool.

Not every job has the same dress.code.as.yoir job cleaning the shitters.

EXACTLY what I was.talking about! You ad NOTHING to the conversation, NOTHING!
Are you upset because you also clean out shitters?

How many times have you been banned from the forum?

My perspective on the layoffs are not part of this thread because this thread is meant to rail on journalists. I don't do that

They aren't journalists, they are CIA operatives! At least the majority are! That should tell you all you need to know! End of conversation!

'I was just laid off in the middle of a WAR ZONE': Distraught Washington Post journalist blasts paper for firing her while she sheltered in Ukraine

Corporate media is losing market share because it is contemptuous of customers and staff. It treats employees like shit because it is shit. People have finally noticed the smell and are flushing it away.
Watch the traditional "Schools of Journalism" begin losing applicants. The catechism of advocacy is catching up with them.

In 1973 The Washington Post turned a burglary at the Watergate Building into a scandal that destroyed the presidency of a man who had a year earlier been reelected by a landslide.

If The Washington Post had recently been operating at that level of competence, we would know who committed statutory rape at Epstein Island. Their careers would be over. Many of them would be in prison. Even if Donald Trump was not one of the statutory rapers he would be incapable of ruling.

And ever since then "journalist's" have been trying to replicate that window in time, and not just the Post.

In 2025 Trump is more vulnerable to a career destroying scandal than Nixon was in 1973. Journalists should be finding who committed statutory rape at Epstein Island, naming them, and publishing the proof.

Really? I don't think you know what brought Nixon low.

When anyone with a cell-phone claims to be a journalist, or an 'auditor', the role of journalists and auditors is diminished.

Botoxed heads from Fox are appointed to cabinet positions in government and people who care about their people and the constitution are fired.

People support a president because he presented a TV show where he pretended to appoint people to senior positions based on their ability to lie and present infomercials, whilst ignoring the actual record of that presenter.

But IMHO the big problem with WAPO is that they demand that we create an account and log in before viewing their content.

Just another instance of "go woke, go broke." After years of biased 'journalism', Americans have wised up and are fleeing leftist media in all of its forms.
