Trump will obviously resist at first, but ultimately he will negotiate the terms of his surrender. The real reasons for forcing this resignation will not be the content of the report, per se. Those real reasons have already been identified by some key Republican Senators and have been discussed with Democrats informally. The real reasons for some Republican Senators to do this have to do with salvaging the Republican Party and reestablishing alliances internationally.
