I was looking at an SM12 during the lockdowns. They were hard to find this side-O-da-pond. What one outlet was offering was a Safari w/ rifle included for around $8k…now, I really wasn’t looking to go on safari at the time, but that seems like a bargain!

I ended up finding a used SM Mountain Rifle .270 that didn’t look like it had ever been fired. Guns Int. good group to deal with…

My favourite importer just picked up a major stash of M1 carbines. They have examples from every manufacturer, so if you’re willing to drop the money, you can collect the whole set. I have always wanted an IBM, and I have also wanted a RockOla. That would be an interesting take on business machines and jukeboxes.

Modified my 300 bolt gun to handle detachable magazines. It's a convenience but I think it limits my cartridge length. I don't know if that's an issue.................yet.

It might do that. I remember shooting high power and the heavy slugs for 600 years were a touch too long for the mags. It was a single load course anyway, but still.
