"Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity."

~ The Buddha

If you stand on tiptoe, you cannot stand firmly.
If you take long steps, you cannot walk far.

Showing off does not reveal enlightenment.
Boasting will not produce accomplishment.
He who is self-righteous is not respected,
He who brags will not endure.

All these ways of acting are odious, distasteful.
They are superfluous excesses.
They are like a pain in the stomach, a tumor in the body.

When walking the path of the Tao, this is the very stuff that must be

uprooted, thrown out, and left behind.

Talk to a young guy working with the wire butchers. He was explaining about building credit and saving money to start buying land. Now there’s a thought that all sentient life can get behind! So I gave him a couple of pointers on credit Building.

There may be hope for Gen Z yet….

Since the five second rule is fairly old, I suspect that it has become passé. In that case, perhaps it needs to be the eight second rule now.

Yeah, well, and Life in the Grander Scheme seems to go on regardless.

I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.

~ Robert A. Heinlein

Enlightenment is a way of saying that all things are seen in their intrinsic empty nature, their Suchness, their ungraspable wonder. Names or words are merely incidental, but that state which sees no division, no duality, is enlightenment.

~ Prajnaparamita

"Where would there be leather enough to cover the entire world? With just the leather of my sandals, it is as if the whole world were covered. Likewise, I am unable to restrain external phenomena, but I shall restrain my own mind. What need is there to restrain anything else?"

~ Shantideva

Each of us has a story. That is called “the story of our life”. And to have a life that we want. You should remember the following teachings of Buddha to help purify your mind:
The reason people suffer is because they keep pursuing the wrong things.
If you do not want to bring trouble to yourself, then others will not be able to cause trouble for you. Because your own mind cannot let go.
You should always thank those who bring adversity to you.
You must always open your heart to forgive all living beings, no matter how bad they are, even if they have hurt you, you must let go, to have true joy.
When you are happy, you must think that this joy is not eternal. When you are suffering, you must think that this pain is not eternal.
Today's attachment will be tomorrow's regret.
You can have love but do not cling, because separation is inevitable.
