Wat’s Carbon Water-N-Stuff Thread - Concepts In Iron And Wood!!!

Bear Creek has a.22-250 upper for the AR10. The PSA lower doesn’t appear to work. Their lower is reasonable.
Almost NONE of the AR-10 stuff is compatible. In that the platform was never chosen for service no real standardization ever kicked so every manufacturer is rolling their own. DPMS used to pretty much be the 'go to' for AR-10 stuff but not anymore. Hell they even came out with an updated design that wasn't compatible with their original.

What is most essential to Buddhism is based on clarifying the mind. If you want your mind to be clear, it is important to put opinions to rest. If opinions are not stopped, then wrong and right are confused; if the mind is not clear, reality and illusion are mixed up. If you stop opinions and clear the mind, then reality and illusion are both empty, wrong and right do not stand.

Lots of pretentious posting about Buddhism in this thread, so a quick question to AI - can a Buddhist own a gun?

AI Overview

Whether a Buddhist can own a gun is a complex question with varying viewpoints, but
most traditions advise against it due to the principle of non-violence, or ahimsa. While some texts discourage keeping weapons, including guns, the issue is often debated based on the owner's intention, purpose, and level of adherence to Buddhist principles.

Reasons to avoid gun ownership
  • Violation of non-violence: The most fundamental Buddhist principle is non-harming. Guns are tools for killing and are seen as a direct contradiction to this principle, even for self-defense, which can create negative karma.
    • Support for the weapons industry: A lay follower's livelihood should not involve the weapons business, as it contributes to violence.
    • Intention of harm: Some argue that the intention behind owning a gun is still to do harm, regardless of whether it is used for self-defense, sport, or hunting.

Arguments for gun ownership or exceptions
  • Purpose of self-defense: Some Buddhists believe that owning a gun for self-defense is acceptable, especially if a person lives in a high-crime area.
  • Sport and recreation: Owning a gun for sport shooting, such as at a range, is sometimes seen as acceptable as the intention is not to kill.
  • Compromise and reality: Some acknowledge that many Buddhists may own guns due to the complexities of modern life, but see this as a compromise rather than an ideal practice.

What to consider
  • Intention: The purpose behind owning the gun is a key factor in determining if it aligns with Buddhist ethics.
  • Level of practice: A pious Buddhist practitioner may be expected to avoid guns, while a less devout practitioner may view gun ownership differently.

101: What Makes An Accurate Rifle

There’s nothing finer than an accurate rifle.

As a gunsmith, I handle and shoot a lot of rifles. This means I get to see the good, the bad and the ugly. It’s also my job to make the good better and the ugly, well, not so ugly.

Before defining accuracy, it is important to examine who is giving the definition. A deer hunter’s definition of the term will differ from a benchrest shooter.

And so on . . . .

[16.105] Only they forge the lie who do not believe in Allah's communications, and these are the liars. [16.116] And, for what your tongues describe, do not utter the lie, (saying) This is lawful and this is unlawful, in order to forge a lie against Allah; surely those who forge the lie against Allah shall not prosper.

It would appear that not only does Allah hate a pussy but that he hates liars and lies, too.

Wat routinely burns the josh for those who suffer needlessly. Allah regularly stokes the fires of Islamic Hell for those who need to suffer. Islamic Hell: where the fires burn hotter, the tortures hurt worse, and Eternity lasts just that delectable little bit longer.
Fuck off with all your fundamentalist superstitions.

At some point law enforcement will catch up with this thread's merging of military hardware and pseudo-religious anti-American ISIS propaganda.

If a traveler does not meet with one who is better or equal, let one firmly travel alone; there is no companionship with a fool.

I have discovered that it is necessary, absolutely necessary, to believe in nothing. That is, we have to believe in something which has no form and no color – something which exists before all forms and colors appear. This is a very important point. No matter what god or doctrine you believe in, if you become attached to it, your belief will be based more or less on a self-centered idea... In constantly seeking to actualize your ideal, you will have no time for composure. But if you are always prepared for accepting everything we see as something appearing from nothing... then at that moment you will have perfect composure.

Many have died; you also will die. The drum of death is being beaten. The world has fallen in love with a dream. Only sayings of the wise will remain.

~ Kabir, The Bijak of Kabir

And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or says, ‘It has been inspired to me,’ while nothing has been inspired to him, and one who says, ‘I will reveal [something] like what Allah revealed.’ And if you could but see when the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their hands, [saying], ‘Discharge your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation for what you used to say against Allah other than the truth and [that] you were, toward His verses, being arrogant.’

~ [Quran, 6:93]

And, theoretically, it protects the citizens’ right to theological practice, unless the ATF has another opinion.
