The price is the killer. Not exactly priced for a 'buyers' market.They aren't the strong actions like the 98s. The Swede is medium powered. The 9.3 looks to have not as much ass as it might. I would pass, frankly.

Hit some of the smaller shops, they can be had in the $225 range. The bigger sellers seem to think it's still 2020. Some of their inventory has been sitting there gathering dust for over a year. Inventory has to turn to keep the lights on.They think they are selling rifles, not kits.
I haven't seen a $400 Mauser action in quite awhile now.

A lot of that stuff is no longer on the Hit Parade top 40. Start hitting some of the small town shops out west, you may find some pleasant surprises.I'm sure that no one is fronting this old crap.
