I have a "spaceview" Bulova Accutron from 1977. Can't see any gears turning, but if I hold it up to my ear, I can hear the tuning fork humming away.

I believe my dad's watch, that I now have because he's dead, is an Accutron. It's older than '77. I'll have to pull it out of the bowl it's in out in my shop and check it out when I have time.

I can, but my daily wear is a digital Citizen, so useless for that particular exercise. But my phone has a compass app, and works at night, too.
