I'd recommend a healthy mix of equities and fixed income investments.

Maybe 70/30 large vs small cap equities...heavy on the domestic side with a dash of foreign never hurts.

I'd day even an index fund, or two.

OP have you thought of substitute teaching? Especially if you live in a large district you can pick and choose which jobs you want to take.

There are dog walking/sitting/boarding services like Rover and Wag. You have to pass a background check and it helps to live a decently populated area.

retail stores, stand alone or at the malls, grocery stores, fast food joints, restaurants you could even do a search for part-time jobs in your specific city.

Just about anyplace that sells anything to the general public that has foot traffic.
