Here I always thought "how to" was a Q&A board. A place to post questions or to seek advice. Many "have you ever" threads are actually not a "how to". Maybe that's why Manu had to give them a sub board as well.

If they "are not a Playground thread", then what is? Enlighten me. After all, I always thought the Playground was a "second general board", so to speak. A "lighter" place to post fluff instead of religion and politics.

All it does is confuse people. I think you're taking your "job" a little too serious and making this place LESS enjoyable. Don't punish the people who use the personals threads correctly. Go after the chatty cathy's instead.

I don't "punish people" who post ads in the personals. In fact, it seems most of the threads several pages long are abandoned by the thread starter due to others hijacking it and chatting in it. That is why they get moved to the Playground. Those threads cease to be ads.

The reason I clean up the Personal Ads section is because Lit has several "general chat" boards. People don't need to take the personals as well.


You can easily subscribe to any thread at any time. That way you can find your threads if/when they do get moved.
