When this thread started, it was intended to talk about how The Sticky doesn't reflect the reality of the Forum. (see below)

But that got boring....and pretty soon it became more, well.....chatty....in here.

So, for those of you who start at the beginning, what lies ahead is quite a dog's breakfast.....it's kinda like the cafe/bar & grille at my palatial summer retreat, Casa Del Castor.

The Sticky contains the following lines:

"We’re not a chat room and don’t wish to be a place where chat room type BDSM dialogue occurs within our threads and permeates our discussions.

We want you to feel free, however, to express your fears and voice your concerns in an open way. "

These two sentiments seem contradictory to me.

There is dialog permeating most every thread here.

Is dialog only okay if it's about fears and concerns?

Can we chat about this?

Would it help if I said I was afraid?

Is it okay if I say I'm not afraid, but kinda dig grrls who are (sometimes)?

Is there going to be a New Improved Sticky....or is bigger, colored type the extent of it?

So many questions....

If anyone wishes to hash out the sticky, perhaps we should do so on the "what do you think" thread or start a new thread.

Would we really want our current posters to be guided by forum history, especially if the goal is to change something generated from that history?

All suggestions and discussions are welcome.

But is this really the place?

I personally have no problem with the sticky. If someone else does then I agree, maybe someone should start a thread about it. I have never felt inhibited about posting, controlled yes. (I never call an idiot an idiot, no matter how much I would like to. And Jesus.... there are some who really try my control.)

Sticky, schmicky....the thing to be vigilant for are people who try, as ADR points out...to control what you talk about.

I'll talk about what I want wherever and whenever I like, thankssoverymuch.



But that's not why I bumped this thread...I bumped it because it's one of the longest here over the past year, arguably one of the most varied, and certainly one of the funniest, silliest....etc.

Plus, looking back at how shocked and appalled the Former Moderators used to get over absolutely nothing....I feel more certain than ever that truly there were large dill pickles wedged well and firmly up their asses.

You know, if I feel controlled in my posting, that is really my problem. I control what I post and to whom I post.

I admit there is one poster who has intimidated me into silence (and you, Lance know who that is), but that is not the fault of that poster. My feelings of intimidation are my responsiblity.
