West Richland Tavern.

Kit knew that he had been really rude to all the other people, but he couldn't focus on all of them or he would probably have wound up in his room, trapped with no way out. Kit stood and turned to the two at the door. "I A-Apologize F-For ignoring you. I-I am K-Kit. Please...Don't C-call me K-kiddo." He say walking up to Eugene and without thinking or pausing he grasps his hand and gives him a firm hand shake his nervous brown eyes locked on his.

Rex was about a mile from the tavern, when a police car pulled up beside him and Officer Peabody got out.

"Bowling" Peabody called before he cleared the car door, "going somewhere special? If it's out of town I'll give you a ride."

Rex thought about just ignoring him and continue to walk but that probably wasn't smart and the asshole would probably pick him up and say he had resisted arrest.

"Just returning from my mother's funeral. She buried yesterday and I just got back. If you must know." Rex's tone wasn't belligerent but did display his annoyance for the intrusion into his peaceful walk.

"Where the hell are you going now?" Peabody demanded as he stepped in front of Rex.

Rex managed to avoid bumping into the cop and set down his suitcase.

"I really don't think I need to answer you since all I'm doing is walking from the bus station back to the part of town I live in." Rex did his best to keep his voice tone level this time. "I've been living at the hotel a few more blocks down the street and I need to find out if I can stay there again."

Peabody seemed pissed that Rex hadn't bumped into him and reluctantly stepped back, opening the space between them. "Look, Bowling, I know you are scumbag and it's only a matter of time before I catch you doing something and then your ass is mine... got it"

"Yes sir, Officer Peabody. I guess it doesn't matter to you that I completed rehab and have been clean for nearly a year?" Rex said picking his suitcase. "I'll be on my way now, if that's OK with you?"

"Yea, get the fuck outta here! You know I'll be there when you screw up, asshole, Peabody said getting back into his car, speeding off.

Rex picked up his pace. He really wanted to get to the tavern now. He felt like it was his refuge.

(tired of waiting...)

Tess started stretching on stage and watching everyone, they didn't seem to have heard her when she came in. They were too preoccupied with a guy she had never seen before, well...a kid anyway. He looked rather young to be in a Tavern like this. She decided to check it out, she hopped down off the stage and walked to the group.

"Hey you guys, what's up?"

Rex pushed open the tavern's front door. He was honestly excited to be back. He looked around for Hannah but did not see her. There were several people at the bar so he approached and saw Tess.

"Hey Tess is Hannah around? I need to talk to her about something." Rex put down his suitcase and waited for Tess to respond.

He had apparently interrupted her talking to the people at the bar. He had seen several of them when right before he left but now there was something going on between a kid and Troy. At least it looked that way to Rex.

Tess really didn't want to reveal where she had been and definitely not who she had been with in front of Wolf.

She sighed, "I just needed to run an errand, that's all. I'll tell you later" She snuck a glance at Wolf and he seemed to suspect nothing. She wondered if anyone had seen her come back from the shop, she guessed not since they were near the end of the bar away from the front windows.

"Rex, hey! Where have you been? I wondered where you were last night during opening," Tess noticed his suitcase, "I haven't seen Hannah, are you leaving?" she looked at him quizzically.

No Tess, I'm returning. I had to go out of town. When I left I told Hannah I did not know if I'd be back or not but we did not have any other discussions. I'm hoping she isn't mad at me for missing the opening and I'm hoping I can still work here. When will she be back so I can talk to her?

"I haven't seen her yet today but as far as I know no one has been hired to replace you. I think it'll be fine. Why don't you do what she normally has you do until you hear otherwise, ok?" She smiled at him gently.

Will do. Uh ... one more thing. I gave up my room and don't have a place to live right now. Do you think she'd mind if I crash here until I earn some more money?

"Sure, do whatever you need to do," she didn't like the idea of men being on the same floor as the girls, and it reminded her of something.

"Troy, we need locks on all the bedrooms upstairs. It would be great if they were installed before our shift starts tonight, and girls," she paused, "start stretching on stage. We have a lot of work to do."

She turned to head back up on stage, noticing it was almost 2pm. Ugh. She was not looking forward to working tonight, although she was hoping Eric came by. She wanted to see him again, especially while she was all dressed up. She realized she had completely overlooked the new kid and turned back around.

"I'm Tess, Hannah's cousin and I guess her assistant and the entertainment manager. I'm assuming Hannah took you in since you're here so do whatever Troy asks you to do, okay?" she smiled at him warmly before turning back to the stage and heading towards it.

Alexa smiled and got up, stretching a bit. She looked at Kit. "You're welcome to watch," she told him gently, almost shyly. "I promise, we don't all bite." Winking happily, she made her way to the stage and began stretching again.

Troy grinned as Rex walked in. Great he wouldn't have to do the bar tonight and he would be able to concentrate on his security work.

Tess's remarks reminded him of the new locks Hannah had him buy the other day and the security cameras. Damn it would take him a few hours to set that lot up. Luckily the cameras were wireless and the locks just needed him to change the door knobs.

"Hey Kit, Think you can give me a hand with the locks?"

Tess was stretching next to Alexa on stage away from everyone else.

"So tell me why it was that Wolf carried you upstairs last night, you guys got something going on?" she asked with a sly smile.

Alexa chuckled and shook her head. "Nah, I was falling asleep on my feet, and he offered to carry me upstairs. He's more like a big brother with me, probably 'cause of age," she said. "Besides, he's got a MAJOR thing for Raven."

Raven walks over to where Tess and Alexa are stretching. "What about Raven?" she asks as she sits down to stretch.

"Nothin', sweetie!" Alexa crooned playfully, giggling. She did a center split and relaxed her upper body. "Nothin' at all."

Tess giggled, "Oh nothing, just that Wolf has a major crush on a certain dark haired lady who lives across the hall from me."

Tess waggled her eyebrows suggestively as she leaned forward to touch her toes.

"Nooo, we are just friends! I have learned long ago you don't get involved when you are in this line of business. It just ends bad." Raven replied. "You seriously think he has a crush on me? Damn, I need to stop this before it goes too far. I don't need a jealous boyfriend hanging around and messing up my job!"

Kit nodded to Troy and followed him quickly. He was eager for some work and although he felt a bit threatened by the man he also had a respect for him. He guessed they both knew that northern wanted to be messed with.

Alexa laughed, but she understood what Raven meant. "I know what you mean, honey." She stretched and did a back bend, hearing and feeling her back crack. "Men are just overgrown little boys with hormones, anyways."

After stretching for a bit, Raven decides to do a few moves on the new poles she noticed this morning. She does a small twirl to get the feel of the pole and then gets more into it, wrapping herself around the pole and bending this way and that.

Tess shook her head as she sat down on the floor and spread her legs, walking her hands out between her feet and stretching her lower back.

"Wolf isn't like that. Hannah and I have known him a really long time, although she knows him a lot better than me. He's a very forgiving person and I don't think he's the jealous type."

She smiled to herself as she wondered whether or not Eric was the jealous type. She recalled the feeling of his large hands on her skin and shuddered slightly. If it hadn't been so painful it would have been erotic.

Alexa got up and also went over to the poles and climbed them a little bit, feeling the cold metal against her skin. "Cold, Tess?" she asked, noticing her shiver. "Or thinking about a mystery man?"

Raven began to think about what Tess said concerning Eugene. Maybe it could work, she would see what happens and just play it by ear.

"Speaking of mystery man, where is DJ?" Raven asked.

Tess stood up and smiled and half rolled her eyes, "Oh i'm sure DJ will be here soon. I saw him earlier at..." she stopped herself before she gave it away.

"You girls are nuts, I would kill myself on one of those poles." she laughed.
