West Richland Tavern.

Alexa chuckled. "I'm afraid I might be very busy after this round of drinks," she noted. "Apparently they like barely legal bait. . ."

She approached the bar slowly and tapped Rex on the shoulder. "Go on and get in uniform, the girls need you." Her soft voice danced playfully.
Keri and Dee were working as fast as they could. Keri.couldn't cook as well as Hannah but she tried. Dee wasn't as pretty as the other girls, or as smart, but she tried her best.

"I wish we had a server to help fill in, or that we had a real cook so Kari could be out here on the floor with us." Tess sighed, if Eric showed up she wouldn't have much time to chat with him.

She loaded her tray with drinks, "Better get going I guess." she smiled and walked back over to the pool tables to distribute drinks.

A tall slender blonde man checked her out pretty thoroughly in between his shots at the pool table. He was decent looking, but Tess didn't like his eyes. He seemed cold. She flirted anyway, standing a little close to him, and absently touching his arm as he talked to her about his order. She knew he was watching her carefully.

Alexa smiled and got her drink orders before heading back to the table with them, smiling and flirting with them. They were real cute, she always liked jocks. A few of them were possibly interested, she saw them slipping each other money and such.

DJ shrugged. "Not really my choices. I'd have gone more the route I went in New York, but it seems like we aren't pulling a nightclub type of crowd. This is good music though. Gotta thank Hannah for it though," he told Wolf with a wink, before scanning the crowd. He could see that the pool section was handling itself, and Tess wasn't having too many problems. He did notice one of the guys right away. If memory was correct, he was another fighter that had a past like DJ.

DJ slowly moved along the floor, checking to make sure that no one was getting out of hand, or too drunk. He was happy to see that wasn't the case, as it made everyone's job go a bit easier. He rolled his shoulders, trying to break the new red t-shirt in, before stepping behind the bar to grab a beer. He headed back to the sound booth, adjusting the levels that he noticed were a bit off as he walked the floor.

Hannah moved swiftly filling drink orders, smiling politely and keeping conversation. Her green eyes held an emptiness, but her expression was warm as always, a few drunk men said some less than appropriate things but she simply brushed them away. They were vaguely suggestive but held nothing behind them. They instead turned to the other girls and lusted after them in silence.

"Sure Hannah" Rex responded as she moved behind the bar. "But what uniform, you told me apron and the tight shorts so I'm confused."

"Tess I'll pick up your drink orders and you can focus on getting some customers if you want me to."

Rex grabbed a drink tray and headed off toward the pool tables.

She shook her head blushing. "S-sorry, a bit flustered tonight. Never mind..." Her voice.faded as he walked away. She smiled softly and began mixing drinks, eventually guys began ordering the margaritas simply to watch Hannah's small cleavage build up jiggle as she shook them up.

Rex came back to the bar. "Hannah, I need two Cuba Libras, a seven and seven and 2 bottles of bud lite, please."

"It's OK I'm back, right? I talked to Tess about it when you weren't here."

She filled his order as quickly as she could. "Yes hun." Her voice warm as she filled his tray.
She then moved on to the young lady at the end of the bar.

Kit kept moving. A table would empty and he would have a rag and would quickly clean and sanitize the table before moving to the next one. At one point he paused in the kitchen. He tasted a soup and looked at the food. His culinary school teacher would have died. With a quick flick he turned the heat up on a fish and added a little lemon. The chefs hadnt been looking so Kit didnt think they would mind. Once he had done that he quickly vanished from the kitchen to clean a few more tables.

Alexa was making her way over to a chair to rest and rub her bad ankle. It hadn't been quite right ever since she broke it off the pole, and she took care of it the best she could.

Slipping, she fell and attempted to grab onto a chair, but missed, and she met the floor with a loud crash and soft cry of pain. She had twisted her ankle, again, and she attempted to make her way to standing, blushing furiously.

Tess was serving a table when she straightened up and turned around she ran right into the tall slender blonde guy who had been checking her out. His body was more solid than she expected.

"Oh, i'm sorry. You scared me," she put her hand over her heart and sighed before asking him if he needed anything.

"I'm Mack, and i'd like to get to know you better," his dark eyes bore through her and he spoke slowly and deliberately. His voice was rough but he didn't touch her or lean towards her so she thought she should give him a chance, maybe he was just an intense person.

"Oh, okay. Um sure. Why don't you go make yourself comfortable upstairs in the lounge and I will meet you there in a minute." she smiled nervously. He nodded curtly and moved towards the staircase. She watched him until he was almost at the top.

She dropped off her tray at the bar, told Hannah she had a client and then headed for the sound system.

"DJ, I think you might need to keep an eye out on that blonde guy. There's something about him, I dunno, it just feels off." she wondered if he would help her out or have her get Troy instead.

DJ was watching the floor when he saw Alexa go down. He immediately knew it wasn't just her tripping. He could see an anguished look on her face as he moved to get her. Along the way, he was stopped by Tess, telling him about Mack. DJ knew he would be trouble, and thought quickly. "If he tries to get you alone, either let me know, or tell me when you two go up to the lounge, and I can wait close by," he said.

"I need to go help Alexa though. It looks like she just rolled an ankle," he said, before making his way to Alexa and picking her up. He knew where the first aide kit was by the bar, as he made his way over quickly with her in his arms. Once he got the kit, he made his way quickly up to Alexa's room. "Wait for a moment, and let me look at it," he said, before removing her shoe. He quickly looked at it, assessing it as a sprained ankle, before moving about and taping it with practiced ease. He made sure that it would be something she could get back on if she needed to, and that it wouldn't give out.

"You might switch to knee high boots. They will offer more support, and hide the tape job. I would recommend pain meds, like this advil to cut down on the inflammation, as well as the pain. If you can't keep going, let me know and I can see if Dee or Kari can cover you," he said, hoping Alexa would be okay. "I need to go handle a situation though. Someone from my former life is here, and he might end up hurting someone. I'll catch up and make sure you're okay, once we are sure that this guy won't bother anyone," DJ said, before helping Alexa up to a sitting position and, without thinking about it, kissing her cheek softly, before stepping out of the room and heading back down to the dance floor, nodding to Tess.

Alexa nodded, listening to DJ and taking the Advil when he gave it to her and he got her in a sitting up position. She understood him needing to go take care of a situation, she had to do that a few times herself. She sat there for a minute after he left, touching her cheek in confusion and wonder. Gingerly getting up, she found some knee high boots and slipped them on. It wasn't the first time she had a sprained ankle, they happened a lot. Assessing pain levels and the like, she made her way downstairs, where she went back to work, smiling at her group of tables.

Tess saw Alexa go down too, and she was torn between checking on her and going upstairs. DJ seemed to have it under control, and he also seemed concerned about her potential client. Tess waited a few minutes until he came back downstairs. She almost asked him if Alexa was okay before she saw the girl come back downstairs, this time in boots. She was walking with a slight gimp but it was only barely noticeable.

"I'm going upstairs to talk to Mack about what he wants, I don't want you to crowd him so just hang back, ok?" she didn't want clients to start feeling pressured to make deals.

DJ nodded to Tess, before walking up the steps just far enough so as to remain unseen by Mack. He could listen in on the conversation if need be, and if he felt like things were getting out of hand, he could step in. He made sure Tess knew before she went up to talk to him. He stood waiting, making sure everything was okay with the floor, and hoping Mack wouldn't cause any problems. The only problem was that damn smirk that Mack had plastered on his face. That usually signaled that he was going to cause trouble.

As Tess sat down next to Mack on the chaise she felt better knowing DJ was backing her up. Mack had a sly smile on his face, "Hey gorgeous," he said softly.

"Hey," Tess replied simply.

Mack stroked her hair back behind her shoulder and stared her down intensely making her shudder lightly.

"So what did you have in mind Mack?" Tess was a little nervous but she tried not to let it show.

"Oh I had a lot of things in mind," he whispered in his rough voice, "why don't you tell me how much it's going to cost me."

"That depends, my base rate is 75$ for the first hour and 25 an hour after that. And I only have one rule, you cannot leave any marks on me." she looked at him seriously, trying to get past his intensity.

"It's not a problem, where's your room?" he kissed her neck softly.

She stood up and led him down the hall to her room. No sooner did they get in the door and she closed it that he pinned her against the wall roughly making her gasp. He was about 6'1, and solid muscle. It startled her to say the least.

DJ quickly moved next to the door of Tess's room after seeing that she took Mack into the room. He knew that the floor could be handled by Wolf and Troy, and he had to make sure Mack didn't injure someone. He stood leaning against the wall, waiting to hear if Tess needed him or not.

Tess tried to stay calm but Mack was really freaking her out.

"Mack please, I don't think.." she was about to tell him she didn't think she could be what he wanted but he cut her off.

"Shut up, I paid you for sex and not to talk," and with that rough comment he easily threw her towards the bed, pinning her face down against it.

Tess struggled for air and as she tried to scream out at him to stop but the last thing she felt was his arm around her throat.

DJ stopped hearing noises, before he heard a thud. He knew what the sound of someone landing on something roughly sounded like, and realized what was happening. Without thinking about it, he burst into the room, the lock not stopping him as the door fell from its hinges. He stopped cold when he saw Mack with his arm around Tess in a rear naked choke.

Without thinking, DJ slipped back into fight mode. He moved to a still slightly stunned Mack, before throwing a hard right hook to his jaw. Mack smiled as he released Tess, who DJ noticed didn't stir. "Outside, now," DJ said, before waiting for Mack.

"You still need another ass whipping. The last time, we were getting paid for it," Mack said.

"As I remember, I kicked your ass for that belt, as well as every other time, including when we were bought by those Chinese guys to fight," DJ countered as he and Mack walked through the tavern. DJ nodded to Hannah, before catching Troy's eye. He wanted to make sure Mack wouldn't get back into the tavern.

Once outside, Mack turned, immediately launching a jab at DJ. DJ just ate it, before wading in and unloading several fast punches to Mack's head and body. Mack backed up, before diving back in. DJ took several hard hits to the head, before nailing Jack with a devastating head kick. DJ wiped his mouth, the blood pouring from his busted nose and cut lip, before looking down at Mack, who was out cold.

"Call this asshole a cab. Black ball him from the club," he said to Troy, leaving his old friend lying on the pavement. He knew he would have to explain how he knew how to fight like he did, but he knew it would need to wait, as he needed to get cleaned up. He just wasn't sure who would be able to help him.

Alexa saw the fight, and she was astounded. Man, if she knew how to fight, she wouldn't have had as much trouble with idiots. . .

She saw him come in, bleeding and talk to Troy. She found the first aid kit and sat him down. "My turn, now," she said softly, gently inspecting his face and keeping gauze on it. "This might need stitches, I'd go see a doctor," she told him. She could feel herself blushing, but she didn't know why this time. "You're going to have a shiner, too."

DJ laughed, although the action brought pain from the busted lip and possible bruised ribs he had. "I've had much worse, trust me. It comes with the history I have. I'll go get stitched if I need them. Right now though, steri-strips should work. If you can apply them, it should hold the cuts closed for the time being and let me finish the night. Plus, it might stop the other patrons from causing trouble," he told Alexa.

He stood up, grimacing slightly, before holding his hand out to help her up. "Thanks for that, Alexa," he said softly, before leaning down and kissing her again without thinking about it. He took the first aid kit with him, before making his way up to Tess's room. He saw that she was still on the bed, out cold, before moving over her and softly waking her up. "Tess, come on sweetie. Are you with me?" he asked after seeing she was finally awake.

Tess vision came back slowly, and an instant panic overtook her body. Someone was leaning over her and she recognized his voice, it was DJ. She started coughing and her vision came into focus. Dj had a bloodied lip and his face was red around his eye socket and nose.

Without thinking about it Tess threw her arms around DJ's neck and held on tightly.

"Fuck, why does this always happen to me," her breathing was labored, irregular, and she was shaking like a leaf.

DJ chuckled softly, wincing in pain. "It has nothing to do with you, and everything to do with this type of guy. Don't blame yourself. Now then, stay up here until you are ready. Unfortunately, I kind of destroyed your door to get in here. He locked it when he slammed you into the wall, or at leas that's my guess," DJ said, before pulling Tess up. He gently wiped her eyes before smiling. "I'll be downstairs if you need me. If it'd make you feel better, since you don't have a door, you can stay at my place tonight. The doors all have locks, and I wouldn't try anything, especially after what you've been through," he said, stepping out of the door slowly to head back to the tavern floor.
