What’s Crossing Your Mind II

They could take the number 7 off the microwave’s key pad and most people either wouldn’t notice or wouldn’t care.

Why do family members think that your marriage is any of their business? "Because they love you and want to protect you" is not an acceptable answer.

It’s half past midnight in the middle of my days off. Of course this is the perfect time for people at work to be texting me for complex information! Sent a contract breakdown and now I’m having to explain what it all means. 😣

'Don't talk to her. She makes me uncomfortable and I don't trust her.' Translation. 'I'm insecure and I don't trust you, so I'm going to keep you where I can see you.' *mutter*

Do you guys ever feel like when you self doubt everything, you jinx yourself into having all the good things happen somehow?

Everyone’s like “ohhh be confident, think positive blah blah blah” ..confidence gets me pure disappointment.

I met today with a foursome of 70+ year olds who control local politics in the community where I work.

Get grabbed lunch at the hospital…shockingly not because any of them were on a ventilator. But, hilariously, because they’d grown to love this hospital’s food and liked flirting with the nurses there.

Frustrated me a bit to be honest. They’re all tolerable. And One or two of them are admirable. But it frustrated me that an old group of men control this town top-to-bottom. Then I remembered that I had to vote between joe Biden and Donald trump in the last presidential election.

Fuck me.

Still trying to get the hang of the new features we now have on Lit. Can someone clue me in as to how to multi-quote?
Click Quote for each post you want to quote

You can quote over multiple pages in a thread

Down at the reply box, click Insert Quotes

You’ll see a pop up with all the quotes & can delete or change their order

If they’re right, click Insert (I think)

Time machines would be useful for so many different reasons, but the best reason would be to go back and prevent yourself from doing something that hurts someone else.
But wouldn't that create a loop where in the corrected timeline you now have no reason to ever go back in time, so then you never went back to prevent yourself from doing that thing, which means you actually did that thing anyway, causing you to once again need time travel to prevent yourself from doing something...
