What are we all writing right now?

I've got three stories started, the sequel to The Woman in the Spare Room and a kind of hospital drama that very loosely ties into that and and sets up for two other plot bunnies in my Queens universe. Then I have 70% of a 'late' coming out story written that needs a lot of edits and work still. That one partly takes place at The Lantern from Grace and Courage and it might become my Pink Orchid.

The problem is that my muse has the post-publishing blues so I'm a bit stuck. To get out of that I've been having fun with chapter outlining my Teddy Swann Parisian jewel heist noir . Coming to bookshops a screen near you in 2026. Maybe. Perhaps. If it's not crap.

I'm actively working on something I'm tentatively calling The Kumiho of K-Town, and it's my first attempt at a supernatural / modern urban fantasy story. My intention is to have this be an April Fool's contest entry if I can make it Foolish enough.

I've got a high level plan for what I want to do for the Jasmine Tea event this summer, and I've been filling in some of that plan during my downtime between writing projects. I hope to get two or three stories for this event (or at the very least one really good one that features my two or three best ideas).

OMG THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS! I thought I was crazy but maybe it's just a thing that happens to some of us.

I will say, timeline issues aside (per later post), this is a MUCH better paragraph. Massive props.

Rewriting after letting something sit for a while can be a nightmare. After it's cooled for a bit it has weight, you have to overcome inertia, and it takes grit to overhaul it. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for that! It's so different now, expanding the story, changing things, not just the story but mood and tone as well, and it's not just a one off like it originally was; add to that I've learned a few things, like not being so impulsive when I write. Instinctive writing still works for me but it definitely needs to be overhauled when completed, if that makes sense. This thread is fantastic too, by the way. Thanks everyone!

😁😎😎

Woohoo! Got my first two paragraphs on my rewrite of Ria, look good, sound good, AND best part? Kept the opening line, hell yeah! Nice to have that figured out.

As you were😆
