What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

After we listened to this over the weekend, my wife said 'it's the perfect orgasm.'

Horowitz playing Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde

Since you're a woman of culture:

:heart::heart::heart:

And then this. This is, to me, the gold standard for the first movement of the Moonlight Sonata, and this is the way I always try to play it when I get time to play.

in my dreams I win the lottery and buy a house with a room large enough that I can put a Yamaha or Bosendorfer in it - and nothing else. Sigh. Maybe in my next life.

That is a lovely dream. Personal bias - go for the Yamaha 😊

Honestly, I'd probably happily sell a kidney for half an hour of uninterrupted time with a concert grand and some decent accoustics.

Actually... they'd have to bring in a regiment of Royal Marines and break my fingers to get me to let go.

I was never a big fan of Rhapsody in Blue until I saw this performance by Khatia Buniatishvili.
Both the performance and her are to die for.

My favorite Khatia Buniatshvili is her rendition of Bach's sheeps may safely graze. I remember one version where she plays it in a forest, but I can't find the video anymore :(
Either way its beautiful.

Okay, one more. I got the chance recently to hear Daniil Trifonov live. For his encore, he played this,

Loud blaring fucking punk rock.

Vice Squad and the UK Subs
Ah, the 100 Club. It was more or less at the bottom of my road. Cheap and cheerful, and you got to rub body parts with some extremely undesirable girls.

I'm listening to music. I always listen to music when I'm listening to music. WOW, did I butcher John Wayne's line?

I'm listening to horror soundtracks, trying to get inspired to write the next story in my Sacrificial Tales Series about vampires.
