What did you accomplish today?

Oh I bet! Must have been a nightmare to walk into. *hugs*

Friday was bad; 5 trucks, 10,000+ pieces, plus trying to put the store back together after Black Thursday (aka Operation Clusterfuck). Last night was 7600, but we had 8 call outs, so we were SUPER shorthanded.

I'm like the Sisyphis of retail most nights.....and no Red Bull to give me wings

The “Sisyphus of retail”... I love that. You are so cool...

Packing...throwing things out...lots of donations...organizing...

A very very busy day today...

A load of laundry in the washer

Bag of trash out of my kitchen

Made it through my first half shift, got off early cuz it is slow! :D

I spent a sweaty hour labouring in the dark and gungy recesses of our cooker to replace a failed heating element. In that time, I deployed more swear words than I normally clock up over an entire month; accessibility and ease of repair weren't high priorities in the minds of the designers.

Still, the cooker is all fixed and working again now, and I've spent another hour in a warm bath, relaxing and soaking off the grime. I deserve a beer. :)

I think a beer is certainly in order!

Barkeep! Take this beer to the gentleman over there....

I managed to have a partial breakfast, wash dishes, post a bit, chat a bit, and well... it's a holiday weekend, I refuse to do much more than that.

Very little thus far and I am very ok with that.
I've had my sisters and nieces here all weekend for our annual pre Christmas weekend of girlie fun and after 2 very late nights and many, many bottles of wine, a few fine whisky's, so much laughter and a glorious outing to a wonderful Christmas Market...I am exhausted!
I kicked them out for thier drive home this morning and have done nothing else but drink coffee and curl up in my couch.

Sold my old headboard and footboard, took a load to Goodwill, got my car washed, cleaned the bathroom, and unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher.

I have managed to switch off and actually rest today. Am ready for another busy week ahead now.

Among other things, hung some holiday lights, put my strawberries to bed for the winter, and brushed my puppies (well, dogs, really).
