What did you crazy fascist Tea-tards bitch about before Obama?

Your point is irrelevant. My dad is 85, paid 15% of his income into those programs for 45 years, and did not start taking benefits until he was 70. He believes they need to be fixed or they will bankrupt our country. The question is how do they get fixed, higher taxes or means testing or pushing out the retirement age or getting Government off the economy's back so it can grow putting more people into the tax base or obviously a combination of all the above. Tea partyers believe the left will just add more to the roles and increase taxes on those working. Just because they are now taking returns on what they put in does not necessarily change the fact that they want to see a conservative reform of the system nor does it make them a free loader.

Apart from the fact that government spending always goes up when the GOP are in power. Job creation goes down, spending goes up, welfare goes up. And it seems the teabaggers only want cuts to programmes that affect other people, never them.

My advice to you, keep voting for the socialists. We not going to convince each other of any thing here. Mostly I write these blurbs for me, not to change anyone.

My only response to what you wrote is about tea party types wanting to cut programs that hurt the poor. I believe necessity is mother of invention. If folks know they can get it for free from Government, they will find a way to get it so they won't have to work. No economy can last long like that.

LOL.

Okey dokey sonny. You just keep swallowing the bullshit you're fed by the global multinationals and the billionaires as you vote to let them repeatedly fuck you up the arse for another 100 years.

The biggest trick the Center ever played was to convince the "left" and "right" that they were fighting each other on either side of it.

There is no left and right anymore. There's all sides against the all-destroying total rationalization and dehumanization of society.

What I wrote is not BS fed by the Koch brothers who people of your ilk seem to hate with a passion. It's just human nature, common sense. And, no, I don't like crony capitalism, but likewise I fear an all powerful central government more. "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men." Lord Acton

And if he's got a catastrophic illness, he's going to take out way more than he put in.

That's socialism. Your dad is a socialist.

You should probably shoot him.

What's hilarious, is that you're not afraid of the corrupt CEOs that are paying to run the corrupt politicians.

They turn to drugs. There are tons of studies on that. In poor communities, where there are no jobs and no help, you start selling drugs. Because there's money in that. That's the invention you speak of.

Yep, your right, it's a flawed system and it is slowly ruining our world class medical system. He was a physician and can tell you in detail precisely how it is flawed, but he wouldn't as he doesn't believe in casting his pearls of wisdom before an incorrigible Bolshevik swine.

You should shoot yourself, worthless miscreant.

and no thanks. I don't have the hate and vitriol that you do for things that you don't understand.

What business would want to open up, what industry would want to invest in a drug, crime infested inner city today? They've all moved out to more hospitable jurisdictions. It's sad

That's the free market at work! It's perfect!

All hail the free market.

Where are you from? I wasn't here from the beginning.

Inner cities aren't that drug addled tho. Most drugs are in rural areas. At least in the states. I'm not sure how it is where you're from. The most drug addled communities are in the Bible Belt, along the Appalachian mountains.

Edit: Not shockingly, these are also the poorest. This correlation exists for a reason. But there are many and they are varried. It's not all economical. Culture plays a large part, because wealth and education are looked down upon as elitist. As "getting too big for your britches". As such, the populace is dependent on labor intensive jobs, like coal mining, rather than intellectual jobs that require an education. I live in a mining town, and so many people turn to prescription drug abuse because they legitimately hurt from being underground working their asses off for 12 hours at a time, and then when the coal's gone- as we are running out, they either have to move on to a strand that isn't mined out, in, say, the Carolinas or Viginas, and be separated from their families, or be unemployed. Both cases cause them to become depressed and turn to substance abuse. It's... shitty.

O, there's the hate word. It inevitably comes up in any discussion with a leftist. I know, you and people of your intellectual ilk are so much more righteous, only we right wingers hate.

There are boat loads of Bolsheviks in the west. What do you think De Blasio is? Obama? Bill Ayers/Bernadine Dhorn? Eric Holder? Wikipedia says that De Blasio is an ardent supporter of the Sandinistas, a Bolshevik outfit. These people are no friend of liberty, and apparently neither are you

Yes, it is. ...and sad. I question your point about inner cities not being drug addled, though I admit that drugs are huge problem every where. I've seen it happen to kids in my neighborhood. I think it's the break down of the family that is the largest contributor.

Yes, it is. ...and sad. But can you blame business from avoiding those places? Would you investment millions to build a factory in a lawless area?

Considering how well those factories do, I probably would. Because the cost of living is so low, you can get away with paying your employees next to nothing, and because the coal industry has already completely fucked the environment and paid off the EPA, it's significantly easier to get things like runoff permits. But we just don't have that many factories in the states, most of our manufacturing process is outsourced to sweatshops now.

I know. We have no jobs for folks that don't spend tens of thousands getting a "degree". We need factories, the environment will have to suffer to some degree if we are to provide work for these folks. It's a trade off.

That's because you're an idiot.

Drug abuse if rampant because of lack of opportunity, thanks to jobs being outsourced by the multinationals whose tit you suck, hoping for a little milk.

You'd be wrong. Most drug addicts became addicted because they got the drugs from their family members. People in two parent households are at a significantly higher risk of drug addiction. In addition, Addictive Personality Disorder is hereditary, but requires a trigger to activate, so being involved with the family is another factor in heightening the risk for children and adolescents. In areas like mine where this is such a huge problem, there are parenting classes available to counter that kind of thing, but everyone in them is court-ordered to be there, and they don't work if you're court ordered. This phenomenon is called "The Cycle of Addiction".

That's why addiction is so prevalent in the Bible Belt, the most religious place in the states. The emphasis on strong family values presents a risk factor, and limits the means to escape the cycle. Add to that the "family first" custody laws and you have child advocates with extremely limited options.

Again, it's just shitty. I kind of hate it here.

You think Eric Holder and Obama are Bolsheviks?

It's clear that you don't know what the word means, and neither does your "wise old pappy".

Actually, Appalachia is a prime area for green jobs. There are so many opportunities for unskilled labor that have been limited by the coal corporations, who I am not sympathetic in the least to because they poisoned my fucking water and that has been this whole other... thing for like three years. We live in the last mixed forest in the world, and if we eliminated or better regulated the coal companies, our unemployment would drop dramatically. We're in a particularly good spot to work on biofuel, for example, which is mostly a farming operation and could provide more jobs at better pay for the people who are having their careers dried up by the coal industry. In addition, places like retail businesses are more likely to invest in a community that ties it's economy to a growing, rather than dying industry.

I'm not sure where you studied economics... but you seem to be really confused on a lot of topics. I mean, I'm just an accountant but I had to know basic economic infrastructure and business trends. Not in a political sense, which is what you guys seemed to be arguing before I came in, but in a practical sense. You know that EPA regulations are important because your property values will go up, and things like public schools are supported by property taxes. Good schools mean more informed students who are more likely to stay in the local economy. And are more likely to interact with and support local businesses.

I suppose you could, at a stretch, make a case that the Sandinistas are Bolsheviks, but I have to hear how Obama is. I've just braved the shops and I could do with a laugh.

Ask your father what percentage of his revenue came from patients on medicare/medicaid.

Even Rand Paul accepts medicare/medicaid patients. It's nearly impossible to make a living as a Dr without government money.
