i read an article in a automotive publication where a bidder on e-bay paid 57,100. for a Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Is this some sort of super Jeep powered by an atomic pile?Did it come with a small house? Are the wheels solid gold? The answers to all of the above is no. This Jeep is completely stock with 35,884 miles on the odometerand a manual transmission behind the 4.0L engine. But it was once owned by the late John F Kennedy Jr., and it came with a copy of the title bearing Mr. Kennedys name and address in Manhatten, the original registration, and a picture of him driving the car. Wow! Imagine how special to sit in the seat that JJ once occupied! Imagine the fame and glory of pulling up to 7-Eleven in a Jeep that looks like thousands of others but only this person knows once belonged to a Kennedy. THeres something creepy and ghoulish, and moronic about this whole thing, but the prices paid on eBay never cease to amaze me.from uc's husband motorhead

I'd be real surprised if someone paid 57K for a used Jeep to dirve everyday. It was probably bought as an investment because there is a big market for celebrity collectables.

Things like Marylin Monroe's dress and James Dean's motorcycle have sold for more than JJ's Jeep did.

the only thing that amazes me is not so much the prices paid on eBay but the people who would pay those prices!!
