I love sleeping naked- but definatly dont do it enough!

My ex-partner used to have silk sheets and they were amazing to feel against my skin!

For some reason I am often compelled to wear briefs to bed - especially when I am having one of my 'ugly' nights.

I love flannel sheet in the winter they get warmer faster on cold night, But i still love being naked in bed even alone! I wake up run my finger thur my Long hair shack it up a little put some body in it.

summer time silk sheets is the only way to go!

I've slept in the nude for most of my adult life and can't think of being any other way. I'm used to it and its very comfortable. My son and daughter both know I do and of course they think its gross...kids!

It was pretty bad growing up with me. By the time I was 9 or so you entered the bedroom at your own risk. My father and mother would gripe me out and say they had to cover their eyes ( LOL ) to come in and check on me and I'd butt ass naked and blankets kicked off. They after a time just ended up closing my door If I got cold enough, I'd pull my own covers up.

And now as an adult it's house rule... if you're in my bed you wear nothing.

I find too, that it's so much more intimate when you sleep with nothing on. Being able to sleep skin to skin ( think of the fuel being saved with body heat! ) and even if there is nothing sexual going on, you still have that contact. A leg draped across him/her or an arm around their waist to hold them close... not to mention being errm poked in the morning. Gotta love sleeping naked.

Socks LOL Fathom! I laugh because also wear those but only in the winter when it’s really cold. For some reason they keep me warm. I sleep in the nude otherwise unless, like many have mentioned, I am visiting friends or family.

I hate any clothes in bed. They strangle and get stuck in blankets and feel otherwise uncomfortable. When visiting someone I often go into bed wearing a pyjama but I take it off soon after lights go out

When I have the room to myself (college dorms don't offer much privacy), I usually sleep in only unders, especially if the weather is warm. I find myself too distracted when I'm completely nude.

I slept nude all the time until I was awoken at 4 AM by a 6.6. earthquake in southern CA in 1994. I had to get up to get in the doorway AND grab clothes... it was not funny at the time, although it is now. Afterwards I was too worried we'd have another one and I'd end up on the front lawn nude in front of all the neighbors. Not being a big exhibitionist, I learned to sleep in a nightshirt.

However now that I don't live in an earthquake area, I like sleeping in the nude. Feeling cool, soft sheets against my skin is wonderful... very sensual. But old habits die hard - the nightshirt is ALWAYS within grabbing distance in case of emergency.

I have recently started sleeping without clothe, but always with panties on, the reason why i didn't do it before is because i've never had my own room. As for being a nudist, that's a big "no no" for my mom and everyone else. I was taught no one sees you or touches you but you. I guess it makes sense to me. Now the only one that sees/touches me is my bf.

Sleeping Nude

I suppose there are greater feelings but sleeping nude, especially with the wife, (or husband), is more than sleep it's also a togetherness that is emotionally satisfying. With no kids at home, my wife & I even enjoy going nude in the house a lot when we get in from work and on week-ends etc. I kind'a wish we didn't though because there is no longer a sex life with her and it is tormenting to see her nude and not want SOMETHING!! LOL. But people who enjoy going nude know how great just being nude feels!!

Most posts here are definitely pro-nude sleeping, and I find myself just a little envious of your comfort....but not enough to give up my undies and T-shirt.

I have no children, so no experience with the modesty-on-the-other-end aspect.

I only wanted to ask: are there times when it's not ideal to sleep nude?

Some examples in my life:
I won't risk staining my sheets and mattress on my period. Panties and emergency pad, please!
My husband is a furnace who likes to sleep nude-or-minimal-boxers, and if I'm nude too (I've tried it) we get stuck together (sweat) and when one of us moves, Shhripp! YEOW!
My shoulders tend to get intolerably cold every night I try shirtless.
And lastly, I must have panties because I guess the shape of my particular pussy lips (very, um, pouty) causes too much discomfort while I sleep (most of the time in fetal on my side)---without panties to protect my inner thighs from my lips, I get a heat rash by morning!

So....for those of you who adore sleeping nude, that's wonderful for you! Like I said, I admire your need for comfort. But sometimes us "clothes sleepers" have good reasons for doing what we do, other than being prudes; like our desire for comfort....

I sleep in the nude except in situations that I have to be in a room or on camp out sleeping co-operatively with lots of people and young ones in particular.

At our house, I have attempted to teach my kids that the human body is a miraculous and beautiful thing. My wish is for them to like and appreciate their bodies more than I ever have and to keep from comparing their bodies to models and other false, possibly damaging images of "perfection."

When they would crawl in bed with me and were old enough that nudity bothered them with skin to skin contact, they could sleep under the down comforter and on top of my satin top sheet. Easy as that, the nude body issue was done. Life can be simple. We just make it complicated.

I see them going nude a good bit these days. They do seem very comfortable with their bodies. They are very open with their words and questions too, yet strong willed and not naive. I think all these are good things.

I like to sleep nude on a cotton bottom sheet, silk or satin makes me slide around too much, though I love them. Flannel is great in the winter but my SO doesn't like them much so out of deference to him, I don't use them, though he would let me. I have a silk pillow case on one of my pillows, the feather pillow. Mmm! A cotton pillow case on the foam pillow. My top sheet is satin because it was much cheaper than the washable silk I wanted and feels scrumptious. All this is topped by the lovely down comforter. Umm!

I tend to like bury my face in my pillows, that just comforts me and helps me de-stress. I also like to pull my long blond hair up and out of my face. Stomach down, I lie and bring a knee up to waist level while my other leg remains long and straight occasionally slipping out into the cool night air if I get too heated. One finger or sometimes hand usually lodges between my breasts, it just feels so good there, the other often is stroking my Burmese cat who is usually between my legs or, if I'm lucky pulled up into my arms. *sigh* Sleep can be a glorious thing, too bad I don't do it more often.
