What happens to the GOP after 2016?

The Rs can only inhabit the extreme extremes because the Ds have become what the Rs used to be and then some.

The current Dems are way to the right of Reagan. Bill Clinton achieved (for capital) much of what Reagan could never have delivered.

Anyone voting Dem that considers themselves a leftist or a progressive is an idiot.

Anyone still voting Republican is so far off the planet that they aren't worth considering.

A primary tenet of socialism is that labour controls the means of production.

Even under this churched up definition, it's still collective control with everyone a slave to the hive.

It is the antithesis of freedom, liberty, individualism and self determination.

It's controlling and collectivism.

You cannot reconcile that with your bizarre (American) misinformed positions.

No it's pretty on par but churched up.

Because labor only gets power via the collective.

They only have power when they can vote the government to go goon for them like mafia with badges and legal backing via the collective.

So really, it's government control over the means of production.

Government being labors primary means of force.

You've been bombarded with capitalist propaganda for so long you just automatically accept it. No matter how absurd.

There is no such thing.

"I want the government to stay the fuck out of my business." is the only capitalist propaganda possible.

They are more than likely try to return to the days when women were nothing more than chattel. Doing that they would not have to worry about being PC, could beat their wives or girlfriends without fear of being arrested.

It's sad to watch all of the leading lights of the GOP line up behind Trump. You're used to seeing that in countries where one dictator overthrows the other and those not purged swear a loyalty oath to the one.

You're right too. It's only a matter of time before a GOP candidate or member of government starts casually tossing out the N word.

No that's the truth.

Collectivism is the opposite of individualism.

Control is the opposite of freedom.

You can't have it both ways.

Reproducing slogans isn't the same as making a case for your wildly inaccurate assertions.

You have been brainwashed to believe absurdities.

Words have meanings.

Collectivism is the opposite of individualism.

You can't have both at the same time.

Control is the opposite of freedom.

And you don't get to just make up whatever meanings for those words you want either.

I mean you can but nobody else will recognize that and will just think you're insane.

Liberty requires responsibility. Construction requires cooperation. Unregulated action leads to anarchy. The first thing settlers in a new land do is organize local gov't and regulate themselves. Look it up.

ObTopic: Where will both parties go post-election? Down a hairy path:

Something has been going badly wrong in the neighborhoods that support Trump

Voters in ZIP codes with high mortgage interest rates relative to local incomes, and in ZIPs most dependent on Social Security and Earned Income Tax Credits, are more likely to support Tromp. More affluent neighborhoods are more likely anti-Tromp. Unless prosperity trickles down, both major parties (or what's left of them) will see working-cvlass revolts. The storm is just beginning, folks. Hang on.

What happens? An excellent question.

The obvious answer is that they go back to the tried and true big tent coalition of libertarians, FisCons, NeoCons, TheoCons, CEOCons, ex-Dixiecrats and Nationalists. President Hillary is probably the only person who could make that happen. But that was before the TEA party, who seemed to be FisCons, but morphed into TheoCons after the RINO hunts.

With the establishment of the Libertarians as an official minor party after this election, I would expect the libertarians and Fiscons to migrate there, seeing more of a future.

I can see Trump's TheoCons and Nationalists staying together, but whether that's in the carcass of the GOP, joining The Constitutionalist Party, or forming a new party, most likely named TRUMP, I'm curious to see. I think the other conservative factions will be willing to fight for the GOP, but the big question is "Will these former non-voters remain politically engaged, or will they take their torches and go home after the election?"

How that plays out will determine whether the NeoCons stay or go. The CEOCons will follow the money.

Oh this stupid game again.

Conflating 'collwctivism' and socialism makes your comment the usual clumsy dishonest sophistry we've come to expect from you.

A broken reactionary record.

A broken reactionary record.

It's not dishonest.

Socialism is highly collectivist.

You've decided that, have you?

Or have you just been conditioned to believe it?

Neither, it just is.

Either a group is making choices for the individual as with various collectivist tyrannies such as mob rule democracy, socialism, communism etc. or the individual is allowed to make their own choices and their right to do so protected against the collective.

Is a society a collective?

Depends on how the society is structured.

Most are.

Trump will build on his cult of Personality and "write a little Black Book", launch T-Span to get the truth out to the base and plunder Central Africa!

Armageddon on the Potomac!

You're a naif. You aren't worth talking to.

You can't split everything up into either/or.

That's how stupid people think.
