What happens when you follow someone in the forums?

Just because you haven't seen my name doesn't mean I'm not a moderator. Ignorance on your part does not mean I have any sort of need to educate you. The moderators and admin are the people who ban you. A bit of self-preservationary respect might not be a bad idea.

Incidentally, folks don’t get banned from the forum side for being rude to moderators.

If I had the power to do so, I would add a little red flag next to his username though so people would know right away. He’s creepy.

And I assure you it certainly does on the chat. But for some reason they will come in and announce"Its meeeeeeee!" (we literally have had people make the announcement or they go right back to doing the creepy shit that got them banned because..this time it will work?) And some are shocked when we ban them. Like genuine shock as if they are like "How did they know it was me? I was so careful about it...I even added a number to my user name. Instead of creeperdumbass i became creeperdumbass1. I am indeed the master of disguise! "

And then they are shocked when they find out they are indeed not turtley enough for the turtle club.

I found it out. If you click "What's new" in the main menu, and then Your News Feed, it will give you a list of posts and reactions by people you've followed.

Click the lightning bolt in the blue banner at the top of the page, then click 'Your News Feed', and you will see the latest activity of those you follow. Great way to stay abreast of the posts of your favorite Literotica members.

Apparently I was mistaken. Whatever I did to get where I was did not show the same list as the story side. I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!!

Click the avatar of a post of yours, then click on the avatar of the resultant pop-up.

Then click 'about' and your follows and followers are displayed at the bottom.

If you see and click on 'and <xx> more' below your follows and followers you will see a full list of that list. Backing out is problematic, you need to refresh your original two steps to see the list again from the start.

I've looked for an appropriate thread to post a question I have but can't find one. So I'll ask you because you're so familiar with all the niches of Literotica's operations.

My question is, since we are notified of new follows, can we be notified when a follower stops following?

I always wonder if I've inadvertently offended someone when a drop happens.

Could an option to be notified be added to the users' features configuration panel?

I’m not a dev here. Also, my experience is limited to the forum where I would not advocate for such a notification. I would 100% advocate for people to be able to remove followers.

On the story side, I can see wanting to be notified when losing a follower. I’m not sure if this would be something the site would consider. I would recommend posting a thread in this forum on the topic or sending a PM to @Manu.

I've thought it over since posting the msg to you and I can see, and understand, the reason you wouldn't advocate for a drop notification. The current way is best and prevents ill feelings.

The site used to do this, with a broken heart. They stopped doing it years ago. Back then a lot of people used "Following" as a bookmark, not as a true list of favorite stories - just those they hadn't read yet.
