What I believe...

I believe in the divine healing powers of lingering in the smells of fresh baked cinnamon rolls.

I believe that you can airate and let a glass of wine "breathe", swirl it and watch the legs swagger down the sides... but it isn't REALLY ready to be enjoyed until after its been *tinked* against the glass of a loved one.

I believe tears are a solvent to the gunk of heartache.

I believe that real laughter at its best should be messy, loud, gutteral, and snorty.. and yes even painful...Aching belly, struggling to breath, cheeks sore, bent over, or collapsed in a heap, with tears pouring out, unable to speak... maybe if really done right earns a little pee in your pants.

I believe in wake up calls and second chances.

I believe that no matter how deeply you love and support and want to help someone, ultimately they have to help themselves...and sometimes NOT helping is the most supportive and compassionate thing you can do.

I believe that pain has much more to teach us if we just face it, and feel it, and own it instead of running from it or suppressing it.

I believe each failed relationship is meant to prepare you for the next, better one.

And I believe in everything that is beautiful.

I believe that life is a long lesson in humility.

I believe that love can't make you strong 'til love has made you weak.

I believe that a relationship is two people equally needing each other.

I believe that the spaces between our fingers were created so another person's fingers could fill them.

I believe that the people you care about most in life are taken from you way too soon.

I believe in waitresses who call you Honey.

Seconded. As a northerner, I always thought it was cheesy. Now that I live in the south, I find myself calling my patients those same terms of stranger-endearment. I like it. Helps make the world feel smaller.

I believe that hugs done with your whole heart can be soul healing.

I believe that sometimes your time is your most precious gift to give a friend.

I believe that very soon, my work will be done and I might actually get to sleep.

I believe in giving people second chances.

I believe in taking risks.

I believe that sometimes the joy of the moment outweighs the pain that might come.
