I think the original question was; "Why are there so many incest stories?" Because it's so popular! People like to read about it. I enjoyed writing about in its various aspects.

I posted "Mommie's Wonderful Welcome Home" in 1/28/01 and within two days had almost a hundred votes for it. It now has 464 - that's correct 464 votes cast for it, and no telling how many people didn't vote for it, but read it. It's popular! A common fantasy.

I truly believe the first word "Mommie's" was the real grabber, and reason for the popularity of it. It got the readers attention right off the bat in the line up.

As for the statement that it's always molestation. NO! I recently talked to a Mom and Daughter who have an incestuous relationship. This started after the Daughter was grown. It was consensual. This happens quite a lot. A grown Brother/Sister incest could not possibly be molestation.

I am new here and have noticed the large lot of incest stories. I am not turned on by it. In fact, it grosses me out. Still, you have to remember that they are fantasies, and (I hope) not real life occurances with these people. I think maybe what bothers people is that they fear it COULD be. No one knows what goes on in people's private lives. I trust that it is not going on with them. It is a fictional fantasy. I wrote a story about anal sex, even though the thought of anal sex has never ever turned me on at all and I find it kind of gross. Still, it was something to write about, a fictional fantasy that I wrote for others to enjoy.

I don't have any problem with the incest stories as long as it is cyber, not real time. It squicks me, so I will not read them.

Long standing history. For a lot of those people, their entire family was raised and died there. Really strong family ties and since of community.

I am speculating now, but the feeling I got was that everyone that didn't live there was from Mars.
