What is more important, views, ratings, favorites or comments?

I have only published one so far, in the Essays section, but with the tags, I knew it would be trolled. the stat that I appreciate the most is how many people saved it as a favorite, and after over a month of being published, I still get one or two per week adding it as a favorite

Comments are hands down my favorite, with ratings a close second. Comments are… look, one of the great things about posting on the internet is that you can have give and take with readers. That doesn’t mean taking all their advice, but it does mean listening. Sometimes it’s “-1 wimp cuck;” whatever. Sometimes it’s an insightful comment about your technnique. Or an attaboy. Or, occasionally, a deeply personal story about their life. On “The Last Snowfall,” I had someone who literally talked about their suicide attempt for the first time in public and thanked me for “getting it.” On my most recent, “February Sucks - Sessions,” someone commented something to the effect of “this really made me rethink a bunch of things in my life, thank you.” Where else are you going to find out that you actually touched someone, made them feel seen, maybe even inspired them to make a positive change in their life?

As to ratings, I like those because I try to post (mostly in LW, but sometimes elsewhere) stuff that’s… mmm, not what’s necessarily going to be liked by the average reader there. A reluctant dom only doing it because they love their sub. An empathetic portrayal of a cheating spouse. A throuple badly navigating polyamory. A weird little experimental take on a standard LW story. If I get a good rating, regardless of posting stuff that’s going against the grain, that feels fantastic.

I find it tragic that there are people who need their dog to pat them on the head; that there are people who are so insecure they need positive reinforcement from complete strangers to realize that they are worth something; that they spend days and nights writing recipes just to feel accepted and appreciated.

I find it tragic that there are people who use art to atone for their rejected childhoods and literature as pet food.

I want to cry when I realize that some people keep pets not because they love them, but because they are desperate for someone to love them back.
I see a world of chaotic humans, some pathetically looking around at others as they think themselves above the fray.

And I find it amusing that some people have nothing in life other than disparaging others to think themselves better.

I believe the colloquial idiom is "Get a life!"

(Now, go ahead and 1-bomb my shit, like I care!)

LOL. To bomb someone I have to read them first.
After reading so many of your intellectual posts on this and other threads, I would have thought such a erudite would know to merely click, scroll, and click to be done with it!

But perhaps you are a little slow.
