Fully understand that I’m late to the party on this thread, but wanted to ask how often sweeps happen? I’ve been noticing what I think is ratings-bombing on one of my stories that published almost a year ago out of nowhere and suspect something weird is going on.

Did your story suddenly get to 100 votes and make it's way onto the category top list? That's usually the point at which bombing starts for my stories...

Several times towards the end of Contests, and on occasion, in between.

I'd wait for the next Contest (no idea what it is) - all stories benefit from the contest sweeps, regardless whether they're contest entries or not. After a while you learn to play the waiting game, coz your scores will sort themselves out, sooner or later.

There is an ongoing contest (Valentine's Day). I would expect to see the primary sweeps the second week of February. (Contest ends 2/13)
