What is the cuckquean category?

And from what I've read, she may never have been cheated on. Just wants to make sure her hubby is happy and at home. She could be the one recruiting the cupcakes, making sure they are worthy.
This just reminded that about the term "cuckcake" when I was reading up on cuckqueans a couple month ago.

Fuck, I love humans. The puns 😆

cheating husbands are 'background noise' in most women's lives.
As a married woman, I find this idea absolutely absurd.

It's much more likely that most cheating stories are written by men, and so they find cheating wives a lot more titillating than cheating husbands. That would also explain why stories with the former are much more popular than stories with the latter, although it's hard to know for certain without specific data.

I just scanned all the categories after reading about what Loving Wives stories 'ought to be'. I don't see a category specifically aimed at stories where the husband cheats and the wife either rides with it or trashes the sorry bastard's ass. That could masquerade as group sex, or be the first chaper of a LW story. But is there a place where female trolls are chanting 'burn the bastard'?

Two questions (bold purple italics) were asked, and much of the debate is going off the rails.

Question 1, “is there a place where female trolls are chanting “burn the bastard”?” - (on lit)? - not really, part one is this is a sausage fest, so there are relatively few women to begin with, relatively speaking, and if one wanted to, she’d have to search and search to find such stories. I agree that hypothetically it fits in group sex or loving wives. But to answer the first specific question while staying on point, “no” is an accurate answer.

Question 2, “what is the cuckquean category” is almost incomplete.

“What is the cuckquean category here on lit?” - see above, it doesn’t exactly exist here on lit.

“What is the cuckquean category, its definition?”

With slang, “official” definitions are hard to come by, so it means different things. The most common definition is closest to “knows, enjoys knowing, and perhaps likes to/wants to watch their partner with another woman”. And that’s it. the most widely used definitions make no mention of permission or lack thereof on the males part, humiliation, revenge, etc. None. People assign them, perhaps, but the definition does not.

Personally, I think the term itself sucks: I like “likes to watch” best, for the “with her blessing” category. And as a man and a pig, I must fulfill my obligation to say, “and hopefully, the chicks will make out too, the guy (me, of course) gets to watch for a while, then it turns into a threesome too!” đŸ· (the pig is smiling and winking, but no emoji exactly signifies that)

Yes, that is the original description, it doesn't fit what that category has morphed into.

This isn't quite true. Loving Wives is still the primary category that people who like these kinds of stories go to. It's the best place to post a "hot wife" story if you're interested in maximizing the number of views and comments you get AND you don't mind some vicious downvoting and comments. The BTB crowd is vocal and highly motivated, but that doesn't mean it's the majority.

You've got several different options depending on how you're writing it, on what the characters, readers, and you are most emotionally invested in.
  1. Loving Wives if the focus is on the married couple, the extramarital aspect of the sex, and their feelings about it.
  2. E/V if the focus is on the watching and being watched.
  3. Group Sex if all three of them are all actually involved in the sex in person, especially if the wife gets involved willingly.
  4. R/NC if any of the people having sex are being forced into it. (Not R/NC just because the woman whose husband is cheating doesn't want him to.)
  5. Fetish is an option but it's hard to imagine putting a story in that category just for this reason.
Personally I have a WIP with the cuckquean tag and it's going in the LW category, partly because of reason #1 on that list, partly just because that's where most of the series it's in is already.

Kasumi, you realize that you have said that men cheating on their wives is 'niche'. Oh? Maybe this category doesn't deserve its own category because it is so common that folks (most with penises) find it boring. But it does raise the spectre of why lots of men want to beat their meat to stories of having wives cheat.

The practice isn't a niche; the erotic interest in it from the reader's point of view is. It's far less common and popular than the fantasy about "hot wives." Why? You could write books about that subject, I suppose, but, regardless, it's true. I don't think wives fantasize about "hot husbands" the way men fantasize about "hot wives." As a result, it's a niche fantasy that doesn't merit its own category and has a difficult time being squeezed into the existing categories.
