Yes. 100% confident of that. Would it eliminate the problem? No...not without changing the 2nd Amendment. But it wouldn't be happening in our schools. It is just a matter of priority.

create a new federal conceal carry permit that has legit background checks and training requirements(ongoing) and have that permit universal state to state gun free zone or not with few exceptions(airports, courthouses, etc.-places with certain security protocols in place)

That way teachers or anybody visiting the school could be carrying if they had that permit, no gun free zones=no target rich environments for easy pickings.

Laws don't mean shit to people willing to ignore or circumvent them.

No way do I want the Federal government determining who can and cannot obtain conceal carry permits, they’ve proven themselves far less than trustworthy. It’s a state function now, and should remain so. What the Federal government COULD and SHOULD do is to make reciprocity of state issued permits universally accepted among the 50 states...having a permit that is differently accepted in each state is ludicrous. We don’t do this with, marriage, drivers licenses, etc, and your rights to carry are in the Constitution, they should be protected in all 50 states.
