what song do you have stuck in your head *right now*?

Beer For My Horses

Well a man come on the six o'clock news
Say somebody been shot, somebody's been abused
Somebody blew up a building, somebody stole a car,
Somebody got away, somebody didn't get too far, yeah.
They didn't get too far.

Grandpappy told my pappy, "Back in my day son,
A man had to answer for the wicked that he had done.
Take all the rope in Texas, find a tall oak tree,
Round up all of them bad boys, hang them high in the street,
For all the people to see."

And justice is the one thing you should always find,
You gotta saddle up your boys, you gotta draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all meet back at the local saloon.
We'll all raise our glasses against evil forces, singing,
Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds,
Too much corruption and crime in the streets.
It's time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground.
Send them all to their maker and he'll settle them down.
You can bet he'll set them down.

That's funny.... I am listening to Scarborough Fair right now, only performed by Sergio Mendes :D

Some t.v. advert is using that Muppets.....
'Mn Mn, do do di do do' tune. Suspect am gonna be stuck with that for a while.

MWY: man, i haven't listened to brubeck in a while. thanks! my new series will have to typed up to that, rather than depeche mode or evanescence, which is what i usually use for my background music for writing. :>

I was just fishing for compliments on my erudition anyway; ignore the man behind the curtain.

hehehee..you devil you.

(I have apparently lost all ability to write or speak in complete sentences, today.)

Nothing so sophisticated as Miles Davis. I'm a small-town hick, what can I say?
