What started out as a small bathroom project

Hopefully you won't require any stainless towel racks from Pete. :)

Just start ripping shit out like I did and when you have to use the guest bathroom for two weeks you'll get into gear.

I've actually done much more today, need new pics. I've got the shower valve installed and the shower base in. The walls are being done in Trustone marble, I like it. I'm going to stop at about 7 foot up, have a one foot reveal and then crown mold the top.
Next week I should have the floor tiled in. In the bigger room known as the "sitting room", lol, I'm going with wood floors and will then start the wooding of the entire 2nd floor.

I want a beer.
Get a beer.

I have tile, caulk and a new washstand. I just need second young adult to move out so the bath is not needed for anyone. Which should be soon.

Oh shit, you're not using real wood floors only the snap together cheap ass bullshit.

Sad.

Strangely, enough this weekend we set out to paint the bathroom ceiling and fix a few cracked tiles etc and THIS is how the mother-fucker looks now. It woulda been easier to throw a grenade in the fucking thing.

Dust everywhere!

Woof!

Geeesusss....have fun

Any idiot can place a toilet & hang drywall.

Not true. I would never attempt it. I'm just not handy that way. That's what I have friends and relatives for. OR, I can hire someone with the skillset to do the work properly.

Not all of us are handymen or handywomen. I'm always impressed with those who can do such work themselves.

It's a full bath plus an 11x10 area where the vanity is. The house plans call it a sitting area. I'm about a month away from getting it all together. I have a hard weekend beer stop time of 2:00pm.

Most bathrooms come with a sitting area:cool:

LOL! And THAT is why I hire someone to come do the work and get it over with.

Patient1 has had an item on his "to do" list forever- find someone on Angie's list to come fix the drywall that has cracked or is water damaged (around the sky lights from condensation.) That's step #1. Then we need to get the painters back in here to do the whole place. It was last painted in about 2004 or 2005 and we've had work done since then so there are spots on the walls that are drywalled but not yet painted.

Problem is, you just get used to looking at things that way after awhile. But we really DO need to get the projects moving again.
