What the hell…Chilly’s little spot on lit

My chain of command has started texting us in the evenings and have even shown up at peoples houses if they didn’t answer. I guess more than a couple of people have talked about suicide.

Same.
Just a Govt contractor and not a Fed, but our reports changed from Monthly to Weekly.
We always had to submit one each month as part of our contract.
Weekly reports now.

Lucky I was already in the habit of putting everything I do in my Outlook calendar.

I just copy and paste.

Supposedly AI is reading our emails and looking for people/positions to fire. I do the same thing every day…it’s on going stuff. But I’m tweaking it and showing new numbers every week. Using lots of technical terms from the job description I’m evaluated off of.

I’m documenting everything now.

And that is going to be the next legal battle, who the hell thinks AI doing anything as a part of this is appropriate. Just catching up with your thread @Chillygirl. Too many friends in your boat. Much love.
 
It really sucks for hard working civil servants who are in fear of losing job or even worse, fired.

About to hit private businesses too with tariffs. I do not know how my fake job will survive with inventory from Canada costing 25% more. We got letters from most of our suppliers yesterday saying sorry but that’s the way it goes.

Probably all the profit for a lot of us small guys.

I was thinking about you yesterday when I heard Canada talking about alcohol prices. That’s gonna be a big hit in a lot of businesses.

Most of our eggs come from Canada too.

Things are gonna get rough.

Us craft beer was already treading water. You add 25% tariff to grain coming out of Canada we’re kinda fucked.
