You're very welcome.
I don't post in this corner nearly often enough. I feel like such a stranger around here.
Regardless, be well.

The only non-life threatening thing besides needing emergent stitches or similar that makes me go to the ER is pain that I haven't been able to treat myself and makes death start looking really good. I've had a few migraines like that, where the only thing that helps is a big shot of Demerol and oxygen.
For serious, but not life-threatening things, I'll go to an urgent care clinic if one's open. It's a tricky call, though, because sometimes they just end up sending you to the ER anyway, and then you get two big bills. So, we always call to get an idea of whether they're likely to be able to treat the problem before deciding whether to go there or straight to the ER.
I'd have to be unable to drive or get someone to drive me or in some very serious danger (e.g. heart attack, major auto accident, bleeding) to ride in an ambulance. By the time they get there, get you in the ambulance and to the hospital, it's usually not faster. When Hubby cut his hand in a grocery store, the paramedics were called, and they even told us we could get to the ER of our choice (we don't like the closest one, but the one that's 40 mins away has a nice staff and virtually no waiting) faster if I drove him since it wasn't life-threatening.

This is where I need a sub to tell me to get it checked out. If anyone else where to tell me I would slap them, but a sub, I would probably spank black and blue, then get it checked out, and if it was a good choice reward the sub. Being perceived as weak is unfortunately an insecurity I cant shake no matter what, its so deeply ingrained its just part of me, for better or worse.![]()
Are you fucking kidding me? They'll never take me!
I’m really stupid about this kind of stuff. At the end of last year I broke my leg in a sparing match, went to a party that night, and a week later was limping around because of the pain and horrendous swelling. Then when I had decided, damn I should get this looked at, it was a long weekend and I opted into putting it up instead. Its not disfigured or anything, then I would have gone, but yea, I’m really stupid about this stuff.

Hey, at least you're together enough to recognise it as an insecurity. A lot of people can't even wrap their brains around that.

As a sub, I'd be pissed about being beaten black and blue (in a way I didn't enjoy) for doing something you both wanted and needed me to do. I just had to get that last off my chest.

It does sound a tad abusive doesn’t it… oh well.
I agree - part of my job as Sir's submissive is to keep an eye on His health. I would be extremely upset if He chose to punish me for trying to keep Him with me as long as possible.
Broken limb at the minimum, and that's if nobody can drive me to the hospital immediately. Or if I'm bleeding profusely. Otherwise, hands off. I'll get myself to the doctor. I'm not paying $500 for an ambulance ride and risking not having my insurance pay for it. I honestly have no idea if they do or not, but I'd rather not take that chance.

Not that it's ever likely to happen, He does know when He's ill enough to need a doctor.

As my sub you would drool over the opportunity
Just kidding

JK again,
Cant help myself, I just love pulling your chain.
Ok ok, I’ll stop. I may have exaggerated a little about the spanking, don’t worry, if I ever hurt my sub (in a bad way) I would consider myself a total failure not only to myself but to her too. That would be a sad day indeed, *chills down spine*, that would be one of those therapy points.
Thats thats sort of part of the problem for me, "keep Him with me as long as possible", theirs a lot more detail involved her then I want to go into at this point. Maybe some day.

I've had one ambulance ride, years ago. I was living in Germany, and had the scariest ride of my life, in an ambulance driven by an 80yr old man, on the Autobahn at top speeds. I was having a miscarriage, and when I think back on that time, the ride to the hospital seems just as traumatic.
I will only go to the ER when I have a bad asthma attack. My fear of doctors fades into the background when I can't breathe!
So I called the Neuro's office today. I expected to have to go in for another appointment but no! They said both tests were negative over the phone. I guess it really was a one time thing. Yay!
