Thanks. But why not compliment? Everyone likes to be told nice things about themselves. I don't think a compliment necessarily has to be a lie. Yes? No? Discuss. ;-)

Sorry this appears to have come about because of a post I made earlier so I will make one or two observations. Yes I agree everyone likes to be complimented on just about everything in their lives be it looks work rest or play and if complimenting then I beleive that it should not be a deliberate lie if you tell a lie and someone else points this out it makes the compliment null and void and belittles the recipient

now as to my earlier post I do find you a breath of fresh air on not only this forum but many others that i have visited .... you originally posted a picture to find out peoples views and when you got positive feedback you decided to share other candid shots of yourself for our viewing pleasure with no ulterior motive or hidden agenda that I could see and I found that refreshing. Now there is always a chance that I am wrong in all of this and there is a purpose to what you are doing but as I stated earlier this is the truth as I see it.

now for a compliment :- from what I have seen you have a gorgeous body with curves in all the right places and I for one would love to fall asleep with you in my arms and awaken in the morning with arms and legs intertwined

Touche. But it's one of my weird philosophies... You say I complimented you, I say I just told the truth. I don't sugar coat anything, so for better or worse I just call em like I see them. Now what makes things different for me is how I see compliments, I see them as some one trying to be nice.

I make it a point to read this thread. And reply as needed. I hope this makes sense... Did I mention I'm filled with oxymorons. But enough about me, this is your thread! I'm just here for the ride

I have no hidden agenda. And I wasn't at all offended by this little discussion re: compliments. I thought it would be interesting to discuss, that's all.

Now that my fit of pique has passed I too like to discuss things which is why I made such a long post previously hoping to open a discussion on the pros and cons of compliments

As for compliments then I will agree with previous posters and thank you from the bottom of my heart for being in my opinion a caring sharing person
