Our (Canada) Thanksgiving is a lot earlier than yours - but after having the family down here - I made some amazing Turkey soup - that I wish I had when I was sick a few weeks later....

I like it because I like to cook and to eat, and I have many happy memories associated with it. And also, I do think it's good for me and those close to me to spend some time each year (if only a few minutes!) thinking about all the things for which we are grateful.
