What would you make for dinner for the Lister above you? 🍽🌮🍗🍔🥃🥂🍻🍺

Well then … I would drop off a cheesecake (NY Style) with some homemade lemon cello for the ladies. If they’d allow me to join them for a drink I wouldn’t refuse.

it is autumn and it begins to become colder:

A typical dish from the German/Dutch/Belgian triangle between Meuse, Rhine and Ourthe:

"Sauerbraten"

https://www.daringgourmet.com/authentic-german-sauerbraten/#:~:text=One of Germany’s national dishes, this#:~:text=One of Germany’s national dishes, this

In our days beef marinated days or even weeks in a spiced liquide, with raisins, based mainly on vinegar (therefore sauer=sour) with dumplings, red cabbage and/or apple sauce.

The marinade is spiced often with raisins, juniper and bayleaf; sometimes speculoos is added and every family has its own recipe for that.

In former times, instead of beef horse-meat was taken. It was a recipe for the poor who could not pay beef and must eat the meat of emergency slaughtered horses which was very cheap but often very tough or chewy ... therefore the marinade to make it crumbly.

The only thing I can cook right is steak,so steaks with air fried onion and mushroom with a glass of cabernet

I'd be very happy with that and would reciprocate with a wild boar ragu over pappardelle pasta with a good Barolo to wash it down
Flæskesteg with sides of brunede kartofler, rødkål and grønne bønner.
And a couple bottles of Carlsberg.
