I missed this. Sacrilege I say. Scallops only in either a dob of butter or a bit of olive oil, one minute each side, voila. Better yet, raw shucked straight from the shell.
I'm so sorry for creating a sacrilegious meal! Tonight I'm doing steak with mushroom, pepper and red wine sauce and garlic lime prawns. Is that better?

That sounds excellent!

I made pea soup out of frozen peas, basil and topped with gfoat cheese. Lingonberry & quark pie for dessert.
 
Strapačky! I've been craving them for ages and now that I've hit the letter S on my little personal cooking challenge and it's a rainy day, I absolutely had to make them. I

It's halušky (gnocchi type potato pasta things) with sauerkraut and bacon. I'm hungry already!

Yes, let me know when I should turn up. I can bring along some great Aussie reds, and some New Zealand Pinot Noir, Sav Blanc and Chardonnay. Will that get me in the door?

Sometimes you just need to make a pizza or four, ya know?

The dough was excellent, easy to work with. Took a lot of kneading and general coddling, but it was worth it. The first pizza is all sorts of misshapen, but I got the hang of dangling and stretching the dough a little more evenly after that.

I hate that I'm no longer able to eat cheese. I've become extremely lactose intolerant to the point of maybe even becoming allergic to it.

I have a severe milk allergy, however, a few years ago I discovered that there are a variety of goat cheeses available if you search a bit. For some reason they don't trigger my allergy. I can't stand goat milk, but many of the cheeses are quite good.

I've had trouble with goat cheese too. I don't even tolerate vegan cheese or butter very well.
