Mmm, melon slice. No actual cooking involved, but it's the perfect treat to beat the heat. ;)

Seafood pizza
Melt in the middle chocolate pudding from M&S with Jersey cream
Pickled onions (just as well I'm sleeping on my own tonight...)
Leftover green chicken curry
An apple (I put that in so that I don't look bad next to Vana) ;)

Tuna steaks with a side salad (lettuce, spring onions and raddish from the garden) and homebaked bread--Yes, I made it and it was brilliant!

Strawberries and blackcurrants from the garden.

Bottle of cheap French plonk.

Tonight was Cats Scratch Kabobs.

This morning when I wnt to the local food store to pick up Ice for the coolers, (Long story,) they had a nice package of stew meat on sale. I grabbed it and ran. (Along with 28 pounds of Ice.)

Once home I refilled the coolers then seasoned the meat with Cajun Seasoning, a touch of Garlic Salt. (with Oregano Flakes) and Garlic Powder. Yes I did go heavy on the Cajun Seasoning and Garlic. I then tossed the meat into a Ziplock Baggie and placed it in a cooler.

This evening I skewered the meat and placed it on the grill to cook as I cut up a Vidalia Onion and a rather large Green Bell Pepper. (I actually could have used two peppers.)

When the meat was almost done, it had turned a nice shade of brown, I pulled it off the grill and slid it off the skewers onto a plate. I then reskewered it along with the Pepper and Onion and returned it to the grill over a low heat.

When the Veggies were slightly singed I pulled the skewers off and served dinner. Oh man was it good.

Hey I actually eat a lot of Ramen and other instant Oriental Soups. (My favorites come from Korea. Which reminds me I'll have to find the nearest Oriental Market around here.)

When I'm in work I just add hot water from the coffee maker as well as a dash o three of Hot Sauce and let it sit while I work.

At home I have this tendancy to fry up a bit of Hambuerger or finely diced Chicken with something like Corn. I'll add some minced Onion and Minced Garlic and I have a soup fir for a King.

One thing I have promised myself for when I finally get a stove in operation in the new place is to either make myself some Fried Okra or Fried Zuccini(sp). Of course when I make these I add a bit to the mix. I dip them in Egg then into BreadCrumbs heavily spiced with Garlic, Onion and just a touch of Hot Pepper. Set them into a frying pan with some light Olive Oil and cook until a crispy golden brown. Oh man are they good.

(My father likes them deep fried but he has a deep fryer and I don't.)
