Some Italian-Americans call it sauce: Because that's what it is, cuisine-ly speaking
But my family would call it "Is that all?"

It's just an idiosyncrasy I have, having worked in many Italian restaurants and dating a few Italians. The first time I heard red sauce called gravy was on tv, and I was in my 30s. It's a south Jersey/Philly thing I know.

Whatever you call it, thanks for mentioning it..added sausage and meatloaf/meatball mix to my market list, along with plm/Roma tomatoes and fresh 'erbs

I made clam chowder out of the potatoes, onions and garlic that I cooked with the corned beef on the 1st. It was amazing.
