What's one book you would recommend...

OK, so, just to summarize quickly, we have:

- six books that deal very directly with power politics today - and specifically the weaponization of wealth and AI and social media etc.

- one book that deals with power politics in a more timeless way - Das Kapital by Marx.

- five works of fiction that illuminate some aspect of power, or its corruption and consequences.

- one biography of an American general who considered himself a 'great man of history'.

- and one shout out for every teenage misanthrope's favorite, Ayn Rand - this actually seems to be a genuine recommendation for the fantasy that billionaires will reshape the world in favor of working people, rather than any kind of warning that they won't.

So, not a bad selection. I like the mix.

But what's missing...if we were to make a more comprehensive list, what would need to be added?

Sun Tzu: The Art of War.
Machiavelli: The Prince.
Laozi: Tao Te Ching.

All favourites, for different reasons.
