Sadly(?) it wasn’t a job related accomplishment, rather I just made excellent curry.

Job is okay so far. Having a little trouble settling because some people are legit hostile towards me. They were rooting for one of their own to get the position, whereas I’m an outsider and came in with ideas to change certain things in the long run so some people are slightly suspicious of me and some are quite openly hostile towards me and especially the place where I used to work. I have my boss’s full support and we get on really well, but it is tiresome right now. I have to earn people’s trust, learn a truckload of new things and do my job.

I’m hopeful it’ll be a good place to be eventually, just the start has been a little rough. I’m realistic that it’ll take time for everyone to adjust, but eventually it’ll be fine. I’m doing space projects now, so that’s definitely fun!

I miss my people from the old place a lot, though. It was such a good place to be. I had a going away party there and it was huge, so huge in fact that it had to be staggered so that everyone that wanted to say goodbye and chat with me before I leave could fit in. That’s the kind of community I left, so being here ostracized is quite something…
